I haven't had the confidence to update my iPad 2 since i.s 7 now I.S has been released do you think I'm safe in updating my iPad?Im looking forward to hearing your responses and thanks
You should update your iPad to iOS 8.4
There aren't very many changes with VO.
Only the music app has changed. and audiobooks have been moved to iBooks. there's also Apple Music.
First you should ask yourself if you really need to update the IOS. Is there something on the new IOS you need or can’t do without?
If everything works fine, you’re better off leaving it as is. Once you update, you can’t go back and things might not run better. For example, it may run slower.
Does iOS 7 work well on your iPad 2? Is it smooth on your iPad? If yes, I will not suggest you to update to iOS 8 as for I have heard many iPad 2 users complained about the slow performance after iOS 8 update. you can see it in Apple on line forum: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6552856
I would go ahead and update. Now if it was September 2014 when iOS 8 was released I probably would have told you know. The only two problems I had was safari freezing when pressing the back button and when navigating a by heading after pressing the back button voiceover would say heading not found when in fact headings were there.
Now that thoughs two bugs have been fixed I could now say go ahead and update.
Thank you all for your feedback. I took the bull by the horns and clicked the update button smiley and so far so good hopefully it will carry on like this

I would say so
I'd say it would work fine, as long as your device supports it. Keep in mind though that with older devices, newer iOS versions might work slower.
Not very many changes
