As a previous poster commented, the AP mobile app from the Associated Press is a must-have. I would also recommend Breaking News +. That is Breaking News with the plus symbol after it. The developer is NBC Digital Media...Even though NBC is the developer, they provide news from various sources from around the world.

Newsify is a great app. and yes there will be a news app in iOS 9. I have the newsify app. Thank you for the recommendations

I use an rss reader called lire.
It is the only news app I use for now, but I'm looking forward to the ios9 builtin news app.
