Numbers using braille screen input

How would I go about typing in numbers to fields like email and password fields? I'm using the built-in Ios Braille Screen Input on Ios 8.4, and my braille is set to six dot English braille.

Thanks in advance,

I'm sure there's a less clunky way to do this, but just put a space, then delete it, then do the number sign and the number.HTH

It seems to insert the number "#" symbol, then the things I type directly after come out as braille letters and not numbers.

Can Nemeth braille be used?

And is anyone able to enter usernames and passwords that contain numbers when the braille is set to six dot US English braille?

I'd try the UEB braille setting, but I'm not familiar with that new braille code at all.

Yep, I'm using 3 4 5 6.

Is there another sign I could try? I learned braille quite some time ago, and am not up on all the new codes yet.

Using the number sign, dots 3 4 5 6 seems to be working now.

Thanks for your advice. I just wish I knew why it works now and not before.
