Finally! Tapp Menu is the app that provides you with the BEST way to read a restaurant menu.
Our simple design and layout provides you with the easiest way to find exactly what you're looking for in every restaurant. Tappy Menu eliminates the need for multiple apps of your favorite eateries and also saves the frustration of a mobile friendly restaurant website.

This easy to use app gives blind and visually impaired people the freedom to read restaurant menus in a whole new way. Not only will visually impaired people be able to read the menu without sighted help, but they will never have to rely on bulky, out-dated, braille menus! Simply tap on the establishment of your choice, and scroll through the detailed menus, nutrition facts, ingredients, etc. Promote this amazing app to all your favorite eateries.

Tappy Menu is designed to not only to provide visually impaired people with the full restaurant experience, but it’s also designed to help restaurant companies cater to visually impaired people’s needs. Tappy Menu also allows restaurant companies to cut costs on braille menus, and have menus updated with latest items, descriptions, prices, and ingredients.

Supported Menus:
Panda Express
Tony Roma's Steakhouse
Taco Cabana Mexican Patio Cafe
Carvel: America's Freshest Ice Cream
Orange Leaf Yogurt
Spicy Pickle
Happy's Pizza
Pizza Rustica

Unfortunately, this app is currently able to only support national chain restaurants. We're working on supporting your local eateries.
Please do not give the app a negative review. If you have any problems or concerns, please feel free to contact me first by sending me an email to petrousmediainc@gmail.com. The greater the downloads the app has, the better chance I have of adding more companies and providing users with more menus. Please feel free to share this app with all of your friends and family. Although this app is designed for visually impaired people, this app can be used by everyone. It has a great format thats easy for everyone to use.

You mentioned how this might replace old and outdated braille menus. If you mean that it can replace menus that are not current, that might have been produced in braille 5 or more years ago, that is OK. But if you mean that this will replace the outdated practice of reading braille, that is an unfortunate opinion that a lot of people have. While a lot of people listen to everything using audio, I very much prefer reading menus myself through the use of braille, just as a sighted person would probably read a printed menu rather than listening to an audio representation.

For now, I won't be downloading this app, only because none of the restaurantshere are included, sut I sure will spread the word about it's availability. Thanks in advance for your work in creating it, and hope the app goes a long, long, long way!

I personally like both ways, but will not be downloading this app because no menus in London are supported, yet.

It would be much appreciated if somebody who has downloaded and used this app would submit it to the site’s App Directory. Thanks!

Hey all, A new app has been developed for blind and visually impaired smart phone users. This app allows you to navigate restaurant menus!!! The best part is that its completely free!! The app is called Tappymenu. There are six restaurants on there right now. Its a very smooth design, and works great with voiceover. Being blind myself, I've tested it out. If there is a restaurant that you would like to see on the app, go to your fave place and tell them about it. you can also contact the app developer. I recommend this app to anyone who is fed up with braille menus as large as bibles or having to rely on sighted people to read the menu for you.

Congrats to yet another good person making the world better for us blind folks. While I don't wish to start a war, nore stray too far from the topic at hand, I doubt the programmer was in any way negating the value of Braille. Being closer to the glue factory than I would ike at age 67, I have been using Braille since age 5 but never found Braille menus aull that useful, let alone the most serious health concerns. Most are big, bulky, and allow my friends to get all the toccos and hot sauce while I flap through my food choices. Perhaps that goober or blotch on your Braille page was left by me, sorry about that!

Hope this reaches australia very soon; sounds like a great app. :)

This is not replacing braille menus. However, it makes it much easier for the restaurants to update their menus. Think about it. Do you ever get to see specials on a braille menu? I am a brill user myself, and often find it frustrating when I am reading through a huge braille menu, while everyone has already ordered their food.

I have a few ideas.
Firstly, while reading the other posts, I figured out that a lot of people want this to come to the UK and AU, Perhaps a setup screen is in order. One that greets you when you first start up the app, asking where you are. This would help filter out menus when more are added in different places.
Also, when will more chanes be added here in the states? I saw Panda Express, but I'd like to see more burger places added. Red robben might be a good one. The one I'd love to see on any menu app is the cheesecake factory menu. I still remember being handed a menu the sise of a textbook with 97 pages.

i like the idea of the app. and i am more than prepared to spread the word about it here in czech republic. But i hope that the app will be opened soon worldwide to anyone, not only USA and that the restaurants will be able to add and update the menus in some very simple way.

This app is a good idea and like others I hope it goes worldwide. Won't be downloading at the moment as no UK coverage. Where it will make the most difference though I think is in the smaller places rather than chains. WE have a pancake house near me, for example, which has no Braille menu and no blind-friendly website, and where I regret to say the people who work there don't actually know an awful lot of English so can't take you through the menu, even though they try to. it would be great to have those menus on there. I suspect it's only a matter of time before this goes international, a bit like apps of a similar genre such as Hungryhouse. mind you, Hungryhouse have only been able to do what they've been able to do because of the investment following the Dragons' Den programme. Hats off to the developer though, I know we all appreciate the spirit behind projects like this.

I have some great news!!! TappyMenu now has 9 restaurant menus added!!! The latest is A&W restaurant!!! For those of you who have this restaurant or any of the other restaurants in your area, download and start using!!! The more people download the app, the better chances of other restaurants will want to jump in!!! so download and spread the word to everyone you know!!!! anyone can use this app!!!!
