Hello,
The number of passwords I have is becoming prohibitive.
I guess it is also due to the fact that I am getting older and have not that fresh memory I once had, but I will let this topic ashide from you guys.
Anythou ..... I need to use something to generate harder passwords and to remember me what these would be, so I am seriously thinking in installing 1Password.
Now, I have lots of questions I hope some of you guys can answer.
The first is: is 1Password still accessible in IOS, MAC and windows?
I ask this because I am still and am not likely to stop using windows, cinse I have interoperability requirements between platforms at work and home.
So how would it work?
Another question is this: is it possible to ask 1Password to copy a given password to the clipboard so I can past it for example in my account configurations on IIOS and MAC?
Is there a portable version of 1Password so that I can put it in a USB stick just in case if I need to login to some service outside of my own equipments?
I could for sure research all of this on internet ... however the accessibility point of view is important for me ence I am asking for your advices and recomendations on this topic.
Thanks,
Marlon

Accessibility
Hello!
I have not tried it on Windows, however on OS X and iOS, it is perfectly accessible. Agilebits developers are very happy to support accessibility, and they are very quick to fix accessibility issues. I heard from people using Windows that it is accessible, but I am not entirely sure. I can certainly install it and find out, though it would be easier for someone to say who uses Windows regularly with 1Password and has tested more of its features with Windows. I am mostly worried about the browser extensions for Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome on Windows.
You can copy passwords to the clipboard on all platforms, and you can also tell it to clear the clipboard after a given amount of time so that old passwords do not reside there for anyone else to paste. It also uses iCloud to sync between platforms, though it also supports Dropbox and folder syncing, as well as Wi-Fi sync. You could use Dropbox here, since you could then use 1Password on OS X, Windows, iOS and Android concurrently and have all your data instantly synced to all platforms at once.
I do not believe 1Password has a portable copy of itself.
Hi Marlon,
Hi Marlon,
I'm Megan, and I work for AgileBits, the makers of 1Password. It's great to hear that you are considering 1Password to keep your digital data secure and organized. I see that you've already got some good advice here, but I just wanted to chime in and confirm what Nicolai has already said.
As Nicolai says, we are committed to ensuring that 1Password is accessible for users across all platforms. In fact, the latest update to 1Password for Windows version 4.5, includes some specific improvements in the area of accessibility. We also offer 1Password for Mac and Windows as a free 30-day trial so that you can see for yourself if the software is right for you. Just head over to our downloads page and select the copy that works on your operating system. Our support pages have user guides and knowledgebase articles to help you get set up, and our team is available 7 days a week in our discussion forums if you have any questions.
1PasswordAnywhere is a handy option that can help you access your 1Password database almost anywhere.
I hope this helps, but if you have any further questions, I'd be happy to continue the conversation. Send me an email at support+social@agilebits.com, and we'll talk!
Cheers,

Quick question
I bring back this post to life with a quick question. He just purchased a license for the Mac version and I'm amazed on how easy to use is this app.
Si I have my vault with a number of items. The thing is, when browsing them, the passwords are shown in the details section. Is there a way to hide them? I thought checking the hide passwords would not show them but it doesn't.
Hi Raul,
Hi Raul,
First of all, thanks so much for your support of 1Password! I'm so glad to hear that it was simple to set up and use.
You should be able to set your passwords to be hidden in the detail view by going to the 'View' menu and selecting 'Conceal Passwords'. When your passwords are concealed, you can use the Option key to temporarily reveal them.
I hope this helps, but if you have any further questions, please feel free to email our team at support+social@agilebits.com, or chat with us in our forums: https://discussions.agilebits.com.
Have a great day!

Hi
The option Conceal passwords is checked but I think the passwords are still visible, at least for VoiceOver. I'm using 1password 4.4.3 under 10.9.5 Mavericks.
Hi Raul,
Hi Raul,
Thanks for clarifying those details! Now, VoiceOver is not my specialty, so I would appreciate it if you would send an email in to our team at support+social@agilebits.com, or post this in our discussion forums so that I can more easily pass this issue along to the experts on our team who will be able to help you out. :)

The email address is "support+social@agilebits.com" (but this forum doesn't seem to recognize the entire address and is only linking the second bit). support@agilebits.com will also work. The "+social" bit just puts you into a special category so I'm more easily able to track your message down.
I hope this helps!

So this is accessible with
So this is accessible with voice over?
I've been thinking about making one password on the mac my complete password manager.
Does anyone use roboform as well?
Indeed it is accessible. At
Indeed it is accessible. At least 1password 4, I don't see why would agilebit change any accessibility on the next version, compatible from Yosemite onwards.

Thank you both
Hello Megan,
thank you for such a professional message.
Your participation here demonstrates your commitment to accessibility.
Hi,
I don't see why they would change it either but I'm fairly cautious.
Liz
I doubt things will change
Hi!
Honestly, I don't think things will change at all in 1Password and become less accessible.
I have had 1Password for a good deal of time now, including on OS X, iOS and Apple Watch before I returned the watch, and I have had superb experiences. They have been extremely open to feedback, and have addressed accessibility issues very quickly. I can't praise them highly enough. They even have conversations with you on @1password and I've certainly had plenty of those.
So, I will be singing the praises of 1Password for years to come. I don't doubt it, certainly not the way things are going now. It is more than worth it.
Possible issue with 1Password on iOS
Hello,
When I first went to sync this up with my computer, which is running Windows10, I had a very difficult time entering in my master password. No matter what I did I could not get the app to recognize my password using the on-screen keyboard. I ended up having to connect my blue tooth keyboard to get it to work. Has anyone else on here seen this? I am running a iPhone 6+ with iOS 9.1. I have also seen others on the email lists I am on having issues trying to enter in their master passwords with the on-screen keyboards.
Thanks,
Greg Wocher
Nope
What keyboard were you using? Just the traditional Apple ones, or did you use a third party for on-screen keyboard?
I've not had issues at all syncing, whether I used Dropbox or iCloud. At least, not in all the time I've used it. I just tried removing all my data and syncing it again. Maybe someone else who has experienced it can provide more examples in which this might occur.
Edit: Forgot about this. in iOS 9 with some typing options when using on-screen keyboard, VoiceOVer does not always work properly. For instance, direct touch typing doesn't always work in fields, neither does touch typing. That is my experience, anyway. If you are using either of these and it doesn't actually enter the text, try changing to standard typing. You could probably copy the password from a note, then pasting. I've never actually tried this, but it should work here, since I've been able to paste into fields like these before. Confirmed: It does. Bringing down Spotlight from the home screen, entering my password there, selecting it, cutting then pasting it into 1Password's master password field works.
VoiceOver issue in 1Password for iOS
Hi Greg,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with Voiceover on 1Password for iOS. We've done some testing here, but we're having trouble replicating the issue. Could you please email in to support@agilebits.com with some more details? We'll work with you to figure thing out!

1Password 6
I can't seem to get 1Password 6 to launch. When i hit Command+O on it, from the applications folder, I get told i'm in "1Password 6", but no menus or options are on the screen. I checked to see if a screen was hiding it, and none appeared to be doing so. This is the first time i've installed, and downloaded from the website.
best.
@payown
Hi there,
Hi there,
Thanks so much for giving 1Password a try! I’m sorry that your first experience has been a bit stressful. I’d like you to try reinstalling the app and rebooting your system. Here are the steps:
* Go to your /Applications folder and drag the 1Password application to the Trash.
* Empty the Trash.
* Restart your computer.
* Download a fresh copy of the app from our downloads page: https://agilebits.com/downloads
* Install in your /Applications folder.

I'll answer your questions inline.
1password is accessible in ios and mac os. Not sure about windows. you would have to ask someone who knows more about windows then i
You can with the mac. Just vo shift m on the item from the first table, then choose copy password to clipboard. Since you can't paste in a password field unless you have a bt keyboard I don't think you can do this in iso even though the copy function is there in the actions part of the rotor.
No not that I know of. But you might want to suggest this to the 1password devs.
