I am looking for application that can record my phone conversations

Hello everyone, I am looking for an application which would allow me to record my incoming and outcoming conversations. Application should be blind friendly off course. Thank you for your suggestions. Zdenek
Apple prevents this kind of thing for privacy and legal reasons. The only way to do it is to use another device to record the call. You can either use a microphone with the iPhone on speaker phone, or use a line-in cable to your computer or a recording device supporting line input.
That being said, *DO NOT* secretly record any call, it can land you in legal trouble. Always ask permission to record a call. There may be other legal restrictions or requirements depending on the law where you live.
The last poster is correct, there are legal reasons why Apple will not allow apps into the store that record both sides of a telephone conversation.
However, as a researcher, I have done recording like this when undertaking telephone interviews. As said previously, you will need to tell the other person you are talking to if they mind you recording your conversation and why. If they are fine with the situation, then you can go ahead.
I do not know where you are in the world but the best way to do it is to use an accessible recording device like the Milestone 312 or similar but I also think an iPhone with a recording app will be fine as long as it records for long enough and the quality of the app is fine (you do not want VO talking while you are recording as it could spoil what you record). You will also need something to record both sides of the conversation. I use an Olympus TP7 or TP9 which are available from Amazon. This is a very small microphone that fits in your ear canal and sits on the ear piece of the telephone you are using. The other end fits into the microphone input of the device you are using to record the conversation. Like magic, when you listen to the recording you can hear both sides! A word of waring though, I'm not sure if the system will work correctly if you are using an iPhone to record the conversation and undertake the telephone call. You might well get some negative feedback which might spoil what you are doing.
The previous commenters are correct. However, if you use an iPhone app that uses VOIP, such as"Wephone", you can record those conversations. You'll be charged for the VOIP connection, though after a small amount of introductory free usage.
Hello listers: legal issues a side is it possible to do so with some application for the iphone? Someone said that they record a phone interview here. For instance would rev voice recorder, ht professional recorder or voice notes in extras do the trick? Many thanks. Zdenek
Hello cdemek. If you are jailbroken, there is an application in Cydia called audio recorder that Will allow you to record phone calls as well as any other system audio and, for the most part, it's accessible. HTH :)
None of the iPhone apps you mention will do what you want. As we've said before, iOS won't let you do it for various reasons, notably legal ones. Apple wouldn't want an app in the AppStore that could do this as *apple* could then be liable for letting something promoting illegal behavior get through.
As another commenter said, though, if your iPhone is jail-broken, there are apps to do what you want. I'd be mighty careful, though.
As mentioned above, you can use VOIP apps to record calls. There is Google Voice, Skype, Yallo etc..I personally use Yallo and would recommend it for call recording. Unfortunately it isn't free when you call phones that don't have the app :/ still worth checking out imo
There is an app in the TAIG repo called Call recorder. I got an email about it the other day, and the taig people say it records calls without any VOIP networks, right through the phone.
