Problem with playing music on IPhone

I'm not sure if this is a Voiceover bug or just a bug in general. But when I play music on my IPhone and double tap the song I want sometimes it doesn't play. When I double tap it does nothing. It just repeats the song name. So I end up going to the next song and then pressing previous to hear the song I originally wanted to hear. This started happening when I updated to IOS 8.2. Just wondering if anyone else has this same problem.

I just hadthis problem the other day. No idea why, though I didn't take much time to experiment with it.

Hi! I have never had the problem described above, not even with IOS 8.2, and I hope I never will, as I listen to quite a lot of music on my iPhone. I'm sorry some of you have had to play another song before going back to hear the song you really wanted in the first place, though, and here's hoping it will either stop or that your workaround continues to work!

Im glad me and my friend arent the only ones with this weird annoying problem. Thought we were going crazy lol. I hope it gets fixed tho because like Clare I listen to music on my phone all the time too.

When you get to the song you want, flick down with one finger until you hear, "Activate item," and then double tap. If you aren't getting the list of expected actions when flicking, rotate two fingers on the screen to turn the rotor to actions.

I actually tried that before I posted this and still got the same problem I described. But Ill try it again when this happens.

Well it did this problem again to me just now. I tried the rotor flick suggestion and still didnt work. So i ended up closing music. Then going back in and it finally played.

Same here - I tried the Activate Item solution when this first presented - no dice. I'm not too bothered - as far as bugs go, this isn't too problematic. Just a little bit of a nuisance, and I'd definitely love to see it fixed.

Oh by the way, I haven't updated to 8.2 yet, so this bug was not introduced with the most recent update.

Thats strange. It was working just fine before I updated to 8.2. I hope this problem gets fixed though. Even though I'm working around this problem its just frustrating.

I haven't had this happen, but I wonder if this might be related to the mostly squashed bug where items with VoiceOver focus don't always get scrolled into view, something which happened a lot in iOS 8.0 but is, for the most part, gone by now.

Perhaps try looking for the song by touch, or flicking to the next song and then flicking back before double-tapping it. Just my thoughts.
