Accessibility Comments

The 3 buttons used in this app (magnifier, torch & contrast) provide no feedback via VoiceOver as to their current status. Of course, it’s unlikely that you would be using this app if you relied solely on VoiceOver. However, it would still be useful to have these controls labeled to reflect their current state.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

Visor - low vision magnifier for iOS helps people with low vision to enlarge and enhance printed text with its zoom levels and contrast modes.

With our newest update, visor now fully supports VoiceOver. The voice explains what visors three simple, color coded buttons will do. This doesn't just include the button labels, but also the hints, that will explain the functions even more specific.

Please let us know what you think and leave your recommendation on the app directory.

Hello everyone,

We'd love to know if we could solve the remaining usability issues concerning VoiceOver with the newest version of visor.

If so, would someone be so kind to update the app directory entry too?
Thank you!

Now, you can use visor - low vision magnifier even more comfortable at your home: visor fully supports Airplay. Enjoy printed text on your TV in 4 zoom levels and 4 contrast modes using an AppleTV and visor.
This is our next step to make this magnifier app even more versatile. No matter if you are on the road, at work or at home. Visor magnifies printed text everywhere with the help of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

We're constantly working on our mission to make conventional, overpriced low vision aids obsolete. We'd love to hear your feedback about visor and this new feature.

have a great day

What's New in Version 1.6
GREAT NEWS!

We've added the ability to freeze and save images, all while still being able to zoom and enhance the contrast.
‣ Swipe up the yellow plus button and reveal the camera to freeze and save an image.

Version 1.6 fixes a critical bug that lead to crashes when using the feature on an iPad.
