If you are a fan of Groupon, don't download the latest update. The latest update to the Groupon app is no longer accessible. I found this out the hard way. When you perform a single finger swipe to the right, VO doesn't speak the deals anymore. One has to double tap on each deal to find out what it is. I am going to write to support@groupon.com to let them know their latest update to the Groupon app is no longer accessible with VO.

I have written to support@groupon.com since I was not lucky enough to see this post prior to downloading the latest update. We will see what happens. I would also note that it is much harder to get back to your main screen with the lack of labeling in this version as the clicks appear to freeze voiceover for longer than usual. Additional Note: I actually heard back from the email address listed in the prior post. They thanked me for the feedback and stated they would pass it along to the developers. Keep your fingers crossed!
Are people still having difficulty with the app? It appears that the issue with the list of deals is now fixed. However, there is a pop-up menu button on the bottom right corner of the screen used for redeeming deals and keeping track of other account options. Has anyone been able to redeem Groupons using the current version of the app? Making the deals accessible isn't very useful if you cannot access the purchased Groupons.

I've not used this to purchase any deals, but the current release appears to be fully accessible - I can browse and read details of offers and also access my profile.

When viewing deal details, I did find that VoiceOver focus got a little jumpy near the bottom of the page - not sure if this was an app or iOS issue, but it was minor, nonetheless.

The version I'm running, 2.7, is running perfectly. This includes being able to access the "redeem" section which wasn't working a couple of cycles ago. Does anyone know if the 2.71 version that just came out is still working?

Tested both on iOS 7.1 .2 and on an iPad running iOS 8 .2. The iPad has major accessibility issues where you are unable to swipe to individual elements on the screen and have to drag your finger around or tap and hope you click on something. The iPhone version is more accessible with the ability to swipe to individual elements, however overall use for both applications is clunky and problematic with button labeling problems, overall deal labeling issues and with the way all the information is presented.

The absolute major issue is that the application completely crashes on both systems whenever you try to actually buy something with voiceover activated. I had someone with site use the application is well with voice over turned off, and sure enough everything works for them as expected. This app is pretty much completely inaccessible due to this major flaw and I have let them know as such.
