Hello, I was wondering if anyone out there knows of any directory assistance applications for the IPhone? I would cut the cord with my local land line carrier, but I like the use of directory assistance with this land line. If I could find an application out there, I might be able to get rid of this expense all together! Any information anyone could share would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. -Andrew-

One app that could be useful is Around Me. Although this is not particular for directory assistance purposes, it provides numbers for businesses if they were listed. If you are a resident of the United States, you could try 800-373-3411, which allows you to search for business, residential, and government numbers. This service usually includes one or two advertisements which are played through the phone, the first being heard once you make the phone call. Afterward, you will be asked to choose from a set of options, and you can do this by your voice. I've also found the app for Yellow Pages on this website via a search, as well as a podcast that seems to detail an app called White and Yellow Pages. My understanding from the information provided is that White and Yellow Pages consists of the ability to search for people and businesses. I hope this helps. Good luck.
