Incredibly disappointed by the Aftershokz Bluez

My Bluez arrived today, and so far I am incredibly disappointed by them! Sound leakage is so bad that anybody within 20 feet is going to know exactly what you are listening to. However, this is mostly a non-issue, as when the headset and my iPhone 5 are more than a few feet apart or the phone is in my pocket, the connection drops every couple of seconds meaning that the only noise coming out of the headset is stuttering and crackling! This is particularly bad when walking, so listening to an audiobook whilst walking to the local shops was far from the satisfying experience that I had anticipated. And as for getting them to connect to my Mac Mini - well, they are supposedly paired, but I've yet to get an active connection. Not at all what I had expected for £100! I'd be curious to know if others have had a better experience? Perhaps I'm just unlucky, and these are faulty. I certainly hope so, otherwise they will end up as an expensive paperweight!

Hi, I don't own these, but I would say you should try returning them for replacement and if they are still bad ask for a refund. Are these bone conducting earphones? I am sure I read about some bone conducting headphones made by aftershock.

I also agree. Maybe ask for a refund or exchange as I've heard nothing but good reviews on twitter from someone who bought them a few months ago. Let us know as this is the model I want to get if I'm ever on the phone or taking notes at school. I want to hear the instructor as well as my phone. Note they are not meant to be for music purposes not yet, but they are supposed to be quite good.

I have the Aftershokz wired version. I would not go so far as to say they are awesome for music purposes, but they can definitely be heard. When you are in a noisy environment, they are very good, and due to the noise around you, the sound leakage is really not an issue. For audio books or directions with GPS apps, they are excellent, and Aftershokz should be commended on a great job with these headphones. IF the Bluetooth version has the same sound quality, you should be fine. Like the two previous posters said, you should try returning them either for replacement or to get your money back. Good luck.

Yeah there must be something faulty if the bluetooth connection is that bad, at least I'd hope so. I have the wired ones and do agree with you about the sound leakage, it's pretty bad in my opinion. Much much higher than with earbuds. I also don't find them to be as comfortable to wear as a lot of other people say they are. When I'm walking they tend to bob up and down a lot at the back of my neck. But maybe that's just me! :) They definitely do have their uses though to be fair, but I just don't use them quite as much as I expected to when I bought them.

I have not had any problems your volume may need to be turned down for the noise bleeding to stop

I bought the second version of the blues headset.
I won't be buying them again.

They work okay, but the sound is quite tinny when listening to stud on my laptop.

They work good with the Iphone but I'd not really wantto take them outside with me, since I'm not one of those that can walk and listen to something at the same time.

I had blindsquare and it worked great even with the headphones, but I deleted it off my phone since I don't need it yet. Once I move I'll probably put blindsquare back on my phone and navigone maybe, or Google maps.

The headset is way to expensive in my opinion and you're better off buying another bluetooth headset. Yes the fact that you can here other things around you is great but for the price I was expecting top quality audio not a tinnny sound when connecting to a computer or laptop.

you is great but for the price I was expecting top quality audio not a tinnny sound when connecting to a computer or laptop. Not to be to critical here, but these are bone conducting headphones. I don't think in any case the sound will blow you away. Furthermore if you just want them to sound good just get a bluetooth pair of regular headphones like the Bose or beats ones. I just don't understand or know why you'd expect great sound quality from a pair of these. Don't get me wrong they're okay for what they are, but they are not for quality listening.
