VoiceOver Fix in iOS 8.1.2

Whilst doing some general exploring today, I've discovered that a bug that was somewhat minor [yet very annoying at times] has been fixed in the latest version of iOS [8.1.2]. In previous versions of iOS 8, when VoiceOver was active, apps and folders located on the bottom row of a home screen could not be moved using the double-tap and hold gesture. This meant that organising apps and folders was a difficult and laborious task, as you had to make sure that an app that you wanted to move was not located in the bottom row, and if it was you had to move apps and folders in the rows above so that it slowly shuffled its way up the screen. However, now in iOS 8.1.2, the apps and folders on the bottom row of a home screen can now be moved around as normal. It's not a huge bug, and wouldn't hae been a deal-breaker for any iOS 7 users considering the jump to iOS 8, but it's nice to know that the bug is gone.

I'm glad that bug is gone. It was one of the few bugs that really irritated me when I had my iPhone 5.

I am using an iPhone 5 with iOS 8.1.2. This darn bug is still present. I wonder why some can move folders and still others cannot. Any ideas?

Hello, ,

Is it just me or is Siri and VO playing nicer together? Lately when I work with Siri, she has been a little more responsive and does not get cut off as often. Previously, it was so bad that I had to turn off VO to work with Siri Any one else notice this.

I am using iPhone 6 with ios 8.1.2.

I have 8.1.2, on an iPhone 6. I can move the bottom row of icons if I have standard view on, but not if I have zoom view on. Go to Settings, display and brightness, display zoom. If you change to view standard, it should be fine. The app icons are smaller, and each page of app icons will have an extra row at the bottom above the dock. It won't move your apps to different pages, just add an extra blank row above the dock on each page.

I would highly suggest you to restore and update your phone using iTunes, so if you decided to jailbreak your phone again on 8.1.2, it will ready. Updating over the air from a jailbroken OS is not adviseable because there may some stuffs from jailbreak that could have some impact to your update. I have done this before; just to try if it was possible, but I still restored my OS using iTunes. there are a lot of technical things that I don't know that could cause some issues eventually.
