Hello applevis members, and merry Christmas to all
I have a Mac Book late 2009 unibody, 2.26 GHZ with 4gb ram. I'm going to replace its HDD with a 256 SSD. I want to perform a clean install of the Operating System, and here is where I ask you.
Should I keep OS 10.9, or is it good to go for 10.10?
Have a happy new year

I would
Hi! I would update . I don't know about hardware and that stuff but I really like it. There is this one bug when typing it says new line but you'll get used to it. You can text with the Mac if that interests you. You can Che k out the release notes or go on here for onformation.
Have a nice day and Happy New Year to you too!!
The thing is that my computer
The thing is that my computer is a bit old, or at least Apple thinks so, and I don't want to update and turn my Mac into a unusable brick. Is your Mac also from 2009?
Thanks
Several reports show the mac
Several reports show the mac OS 10.10 as more slow or heavy. I recomend strongly you look at what iothers say here.
If you think that the relates of lag are true, be aware that it is probably due to mor hardware being consumed. If this is the case may be updating is not a good idea at this time.
I myself have noticed little to no extra lag. Compared to windows everything VO related lags quit a lot anyways and I could not detect anything different, but many others said for them it was kind of havier.
I can not say much **** my mac book air is late 2013.
Is it easier to you to go back to an older system if the new one does not perform as expected for you?

updating
Hello all. Just thought I would put my 2 thoughts into this... I do have 10.10 and while there are a few but doable bugs, I would upgrade to 10.10. Keep in mind, you won't be able to use the hand off features, but the continuity features you will be able to use. I also have a mac book pro 2009 mottle and works pretty well!
