This is my first time posting so hopefully I am following the right steps and doing everything correctly.
Everytime I try and send a voice message with facebook messenger it does not send. I have never had a problem doing this until recently. I have tried just about everything like updating to the latest ios which I regret, I have even did a full reset of my phone and started fresh without retrieving any content from I cloud.
The last thing I tried was turning off voice over and guessing where the button is and shockingly this actually worked. of course this is a unreliable way of sending voice messages because its very difficult to always guess where the button is so I found myself recording the same message over and over again until I made the right guess and the message sent, of course this is extremely frustrating
I have no idea what caused this glitch so I am wondering is anyone else having this problem? any ideas on suggestions on how to fix it? and is there an alternative ap that I can download that will let me send voice messages on facebook while using voice over?

The same issue occurs here too. Turning voiceover off is the only work around I've found so far as well. This is doable, only because I have fairly decent spacial orientation with my touchscreen. It is not a viable solution for everyone, nor should it be the preferred method.
Perhaps we should contact Facebook about this?

I agree contacting them would be a good idea but how would be go about doing that? and its so odd because it use to work with no problem with voice over and one afternoonit just stopped
Facebook messenger woes for me also
Same thing happens to me. Also, I noticed that when someone tried to voice call me using Facebook messenger, I found that although I could focus on the answer button, I could not actually answer the voice call: try as I would. Anybody else notice this also? How do we contact them? and, frankly, what assurence (if any) do we have that they will even bother to listen?

well seems like this is a voice over issue for all consumers so now for the next steps. im completely new to the site so I don't know who to contact that can help us get a hold of someone behind the messenger app but ill see what I can find out today
