Urgent help! Can't make an apple ID!

iTunes is accessible with NVDA, but iTunes isn't the ideal place to make an Apple ID anyway. Instead, try going to appleid.apple.com and activate the button labelled "Create an Apple ID".

If you still have trouble, you would be better off calling Apple instead of trying to get someone to create an Apple ID for you. Doing such a thing is risky, especially if you don't know the person offering to do it for you.

I had no problem creating an Apple ID using iTunes for windows and JAWS. As the previous commenter says, you can do it with NVDA also.

Well there many ways how successful create your apple ID and also don't require use iTunes or either screen reading.
if you are beginning using VoiceOver on the iPhone I tell cause is the easier way to create it.
Just search on google where is the apple store nearby you and they will create the apple ID on front of you.
unfortunally the idea who someone else create an apple ID for you is not the best option,
remember the apple ID include personal information
address, phone number, and password.
there not perfect screen reading unfortunally JAWS, NVDA orWindow Eyes sometimes doesn't read many labels specially when have to insert informacion.

I remember when making my apple ID, I had issues with the date picker for my expiry date for my credit card and selecting my gender believe or not. Those pickers are not as intuitive in my opinion.

Hello. I saw this just a few seconds ago and the timing couldn't be better for this reply! I actually just got off the phone with Apple support to reset my Apple ID password. The support rep was awesome. But anyway, creating an Apple ID using VoiceOver is actually pretty accessible. There is an audio CAPTCHA to solve at the end of the form, but it's one of the better ones imho. I don't know about doing this with the other screen readers though, as this is my first Mac computer and I never created an Apple ID until I got it. Resetting my Apple ID password did not require a CAPTCHA. Resetting the ID itself might though, I'm not sure. Hth.

I think the best bet for you would get in contact with apple. Maybe see if there's an apple store nearby, so that way you can set up an apple id that way. Just my observations. I personally don't have problems, or remember having issues with setting up my apple id on either my mac or my iPhones. Also, just my opinion, but don't have someone you don't know fill out your apple id, I'd suggest you fill it out, and see what is happening. I think it needs your payment information, maybe all the fields are not filled in? Just my thoughts.

Hi. Which version of NVDA are you currently using? If it's an older one, please update as soon as you can because support for iTunes has been added recently. The latest version is 2014.4. You should also be able to create an apple ID on an iDevice if you have one, the process is farely easy.
