Hello all, having an issue with jaws 12 and the latest version of iTunes. When I am scrolling the artist list box in my iTunes library, Joe all seems to have a problem focusing.I can see the artists But after scrolling down for a while, jaws Starts to read something that is actually on my desk top. It won't start reading the artists that I've passed until I up Aero back through the artists I have passed previously. and after I go down a few more artists the problem continues. Is anybody experiencing this issue? If so any help would be greatly appreciated. I am currently using jaws 12 on a Windows 7 laptop.

I use JAWS 14 and Windows 7. I haven't experienced this issue but I have at least one suggestion for you. Before you start scrolling through the artists, be certain that you have maximized the iTunes window. Just in case you don't know how to to do this, all you do is hit the alt plus spacebar and then the letter X for maximize.

Hopefully this helps to scroll more effectively.

Followed your instructions and Jaws is now reading the artists more consistently. Only thing is as I'm scrolling down instead of saying the desktop element it doesn't say anything at all. And I pretty much have to go through the same process over again.but this I can deal with.

I'm glad you have at least some resolution to the issue. ITunes is a great piece of software but from a JAWS user's point of view, well, let's just say it's a bear sometimes. I use it a lot as I make the most out of playlists, especially for my workouts and so I've had a lot of hands-on experience. Despite it's drawbacks, since Apple has created this environment to communicate with the iDevices, I've had to make friends with it and I'm pretty successful for the most part. I have come to this forum many times, though, just looking for answers as you have.

Anyway, I'm glad that you can use iTunes a bit better now.
