Searching for OCR software on Mac

Hello Applevis community,
I have recently made the switch from a Windows computer to a Mac and I am searching for a reliable and accurate OCR program that I can use. Is there anyone that can recommend apps, other than Prizmo, that you have tried and that are compatible with voiceover. Has anyone tried the Abbyy Finereader OCR Pro on the Mac app store? Any feedback is appreciated, Thanks.

Fine reader pro by abbyy is quick and accurate, probably more so than Prizmo. Its not the cheapest but it's certainly worth it. You can download a free thirty day trial version first though. Hth

I find ABBYY FineReader Pro to be accessible and accurate, and would agree with the previous commenter about recommending the installation and testing of the free demo version. Unlike Kurzweil 1000 on Windows, this application was not specifically coded for use by blind Users, though the folks at ABBYY have done a nice job of making most items accessible to VO.
