Used to be accessible, became inaccessible, now accessible again
I've been a long time Who's Here user since iPod touch 3g on iOS 4.2. At that time, the app was very accessible. on iOS 6 and 7, the app became inaccessible to a very large degree but could still be used. Now, as of iOS 8, the app is accessible again. When going through profiles, the persons name, age, gender, time last logged in and distence is anounsed. This is the way it used to be. After tapping on a profile you may here some buttons, these are users pictures. After going through these you can hear other parts of profiles. While the app works in iOS 8, it still remains inaccessible on iOS 7. I'm not sure about iOS 6. I did exchange a few emails with the devs, they did send a few emails back that said they would work on the problem This again was during the time of iOS 7. I'm not sure what happened, but I'm glad its fixed. I do know of a few blind users that use the ap.

Inaccessible again
unless I'm missing something, this app is pretty inaccessible again! If it's not, I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong, but there are dozens of unlabeled buttons

Hmm. Its a little different on iOS 8.3, but I can still use the app, and I'm not seeing any updates either. Where are you finding these unlabeled buttons, and which iOS are you running?
I'm running 8.1
i'm running 8.1 and the label buttons are all over the place. Maybe if you could do a podcast… The reason I'm running 8.1 is because it's jailbroken.

I guess I could do a short demo. Yes, I do know there are some buttons that don't have lables, however, these are inside user profiles, and they are just users pictures. When you're looking through profiles, that part, and the chats are accessible.

Just wondering, is anyone still having trouble with this app? The order in which profile strings are read aloud has changed, but from what I gather, this has happened a lot with other apps to on iOS 8.3. I was running Who's here on iOS 8.1 for a while since I was jailbroken myself. Couldn't keep the jailbreak because I got a new phone.
Please, I would like to learn more about this app.

The app works by using your location to find other users who are using the app as well.
There are many different uses for the app. Some use it for dating, while others just use it to find and talk to new people who might be around them. By setting up a profile, with your name, you don't have to use your full name, age, spoken language, what you are on the app for, be it talking, dating, exchanging pictures, ETC, as well as intrests and more detail, in which you can put what ever you'd like. You can also upload a picture to your profile. I've found that uploading a picture works bests, the app seems to match you not only with your location, but also with some profile details such as what age range you're looking for, and yes, if you have a picture uploaded. The rool of themb is, the more complete your profile, the better off you'll be.
You can look through other user's profiles, send them messages, and if you have promition to do so, call them and send them pictures.
Yes, users can only contact you by messages, unless you've given them promition to contact you in any other way.
Since my book sence died on me for what seems to be for good, if I can find a good app to record on my iPad, I can do a podcast sometime soon if anyone is intrested.

Hello. Thanks for very nice explanation. I have a question. What if there is no one around, I mean in my area who uses the app? Do you think is it still worth installing it? Does it let me to chat with users from other countries as well? A podcast would be very useful. Thanks.

Hi, yes, if there is no one around your area who uses the app, the app will give you your closist match. So, if you're an in area where no one uses the app, you could very well be talking with someone from a different state.
You can talk to people from around the world if you set your location there. The app has a store, in the store you can find what they call plane tickets. These will let you set your location to where ever you'd like it to be set for a period of time, I think two weeks. Not sure if this is accessible or not though, as I've not tried it.
Thats how you can talk and meet people from other parts of the world.
Other than that, its your location that counts.
P.S. The app will only use your location at startup I think, or every time you open the app from the background so you don't have to worry about battery level dropping.
