Finding the Input button on Garage Band?

Hello list, for the life of me I can not find the input button on Garage Band on my Iphone 6. I want to be able to use the onboard mic, but am in the dark. I even had a sighted person check it out with no luck. Is this a limited version that comes on the I phone 6's? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I flick right on the top menu bar past jam session, settings, The timeline, then song sections. eventually get to the input button. I am in the audio recorder instrument in GarageBand on my iPhone 5s in iOS 7. I do have a fully paid version. So, I don't know if that makes a difference. I don't remember if the free version was limited that way. There does not seem to be a input selector in input settings when I go there.

Hi,

I turned on audio in the input section to check it out and now that I turned it off I can't find the monitor part. I made sure everything was set to zzero, closed and restarted the program, deleted that one and started new and still it is gone. Any suggestions?

Any creative producers out there who want to take a struggling newby under their wing?

Well, I figured it out, I need to plug in my earphones to use monitor. Da!
