What are your thoughts on haptic feedback?
I'm a technology instructor at a rehab center for the blind, and I work with both iOS and android phones, something that's very interesting to me about android phones specifically Samsung android phones is the available haptic feedback. The phone will give you haptic feedback when you touch the screen swipe across the screen, or are typing letters on the on screen keyboard. is this something you think would be useful on iOS devices?do you think that Apple should implement haptic feedback as part of their accessibility set of features?

An even better question is what is Haptic feedback? Thanks. I know I've heard the term before, but for the life of me don't remember what it is.

Never mind. I just read what it is. If my understanding is correct, using something like vibrational feedback to operate the screen or to know what's going on with the screen sounds interesting. I don't know how much overall value it would be to Voiceover users, but I could see it being of value to some people I suppose.

imagine an ipad which enables a blind user to read with their fingers? It might braille, print or a mix of the two. It might be dagrams or faces. This is possible and should be implemented smartly and soon!

Some individuals might find this useful.
I personally just prefer voice over. With voice over, I'm using device like a sighted person. Obviously with a few different gestures. I come from the mind of using a device with as little modification as possible. I don't want a completely different experience of a sighted person.
Haptic has been known to work very well with autism and some with motor skill issues.

I played with an Android phone for a bit. It had little buzzes as my finger passed over items on the screen. Being used to iOS, I did not find this to add to my experience, and it was initially annoying. I could probably get used to it, but it was unnecessary for me.
