Hello everyone,
right now I have the iPhone 6 and have been heavily debating whether I should have gone with the 6+. I can exchange the phone until tomorrow, so I have a few questions for those of you who may have worked with both devices or who are 6+ users.
Mainly, I'm wondering about battery life. Using my iPhone 6 with voiceover and the screen curtain turned on, Bluetooth enabled, and with Moderate to heavy usage, my battery lasts for about a day give or take. What are those of you with 6+s experiencing for battery life using voiceover and your screen curtain?
my next question is about cases. I tend to wear a lot of pants that have short pockets, and the iPhone 6+ Will fit in them if it's out of the case, but in my friend's case, which is somewhat thick, the foam sticks out a fair amount. Women, are you 6+ users? Do you put the phone in your pockets? If so, what case do you use and do you find that the phone fits well?
Thanks for all the info, guys!
Megan

battery
hi. as for battery power, the 6 plus has pritty much 1000 MAH extra power, over the 6. double the power of the iPhone 5S. so it's got lots more power. but size wise, it's probably not going to fit in pockets as easy as the 6.
Thanks for the info
@Dallas thanks for the info! I realize that the iPhone 6+ has a far higher MA rating, I'm just wondering what people are seeing in real world tests. Numbers are numbers are numbers, but do the tests bear out that finding in actual use cases? What phone are you currently on?

Numbers are going to make a difference, no matter how you slice it.
My wife and I have iPhone 6 pluses. She has said it is too big for her to safely use it one handed. She's a small woman, so she puts her phone in her back pocket around the house, and in her purse when out and about. Really, the phone is too big for me to use one handed and I'm a big guy. I can put it in my pocket but I have a hip holster. I use gps all the time, use fitness apps, and I read books for class all the time. With screen brightness down and screen curtain on, I can get a day and a half easily, i.e. 28 to 36 hours.
cases
I think you should get an otterbox defender or some other case with a clip. Then you can clip the phone to your pants or something and not have to worry about if it will fit in your pocket or not. Also, the otterbox defender protects the device good. It has a screen protector and covers on all the ports. It also comes with a lifetime warranty.
Loving iPhone 6 Plus Battery Life
Hello Megan,
I have an iPhone 6 Plus, and I like to think of myself as a light-moderate user of my phone. I also like to have a battery that can more than get me through a day.
In my testing last week, the lowest I ever got my iPhone was 51%...and that was over 17-18 hours of light-moderate use. I've consistently gotten to the 12-hour mark with between 75 and 70% battery remaining, which is quite a step up from the 5S.
Thank you!
a huge thank you to everyone who posted advice and real world experience. Ultimately I think I will stick with my 6. I got the chance to play with a friend's 6 plus for about an hour and just walk around with it, stick it in my pockets, etc. It's balance scues just enough toward the top that I managed to drop it three times. So even though I am really liking the extra battery life and the bigger typing surface I just can't bring myself to do it.
