Refreshing Twitter Feed

While it seems a simple matter, I have not learned nor can I find information on how to 'refresh' my twitter feed using Voice Over and the twitter application. I believe this is the 'pull down' for the sighted though my application has nothing which seems to say this and I do not know how to work around this. Can anyone either share the process or point me towards a solution/tutorial for this? Thanks much! Randy & the Mighty Quinn

Randy, While I do not use the official Twitter application now included in IOS5 and later, I can tell you that the standerd pulldown jesture on the iPhone is a three-finger swipe down the screen. This should refresh your Twitter feed. I hope this helps.

I've had success with a two-finger swipe up. It basically takes you to the top of the screen refreshes the timeline and continues reading on down. Hope this helps.

if it's not in the app, then go to settings, then apps, then twitter. You may think differently, but the best app is twitterific. I like the layout of the app better than other accessible ones. You have to just mess with them until you can decide which one better suits you. I'm @melissatucker4 on twitter if you need more advise on twitter apps or settings.

I simply touch the status bar at the top, it takes a minute or so, will say something like network in progress - once it tells me my bars re home network then it should have refreshed all the feed and one can begin reading them immediately after the new tweet form field. Hope this helps. Pat

here's what I do in the official twitter app I tap once the "new tweet button" to set voice over focus on it. I pull down with tree fingers. it starts to scroll throug the rows. you have to do the pull donw gesture several times (at least 3 or 4) until voice over says "content pulled down." The same thing worked for me on tweetlist also.

Here's another option that works with most apps that require you to pull-down to refresh.

These apps will generally be displaying a list of items, so for best results make sure that VoiceOver focus is on the first item in the list.

Now do a one-fingered double-tap, but do not lift your finger from the screen after the second tap (this is often referred to as a double-tap and hold). Whilst keeping your finger pressed to the screen slide it down about 2 centimetres and then lift. Alternatively, you can do a downward flick of your finger after you have done the double-tap and hold.

I would suggest that you experiment with some of the options that have been suggested, and see which one you find easiest and most reliable.
