Is anyone else having problems with Google search? Since yesterday voice over says search box is "combo box" and editing is impossible. Same on ipad ios7, ipad ios6, iphone5 ios7.
Thanks
Geoff
Hey Guys,
They must have made back-end changes on server. It has been like that for about a week.
I sent them an email at Accessibility@Google.com. No response yet.

Ok guys,
I just received info on this and why it happened. You can turn it off!
Here is a post about Search, and it's not specific to any particular screen reader. http://www.gwmicro.com/Support/Email_Lists/Archives/GW-Info/index.php?message_id=180006
I did click the link for screen reader users. On Safari, after this I could edit... But when clearing last search term Google doesn't read last character or word deleted in box
Turning off Google instant for screen readers does not work for me. I still have the combo box. Double tapping on the box brings up some kind of menu that is not fully accessible with voiceover. The keyboard pops up but I cannot control where the edit cursor is. The prompt for screen reader users does not disappear after we click on it either.
Question is: who do we report this to? This appears to be a
problem with voiceover working with combo boxes in Safari and not a Google problem. In other words: Google has chosen a different design that affects the way voice over works is this Google's responsibility or voiceovers responsibility to work properly with a combo box?

Yes, same here!
I observe the same behavior. Should report this to the Google Accessibility group.
