I've been wanting to set up fingerprints for my new 5S IPhone. It also asks for a password for when the print is not available. If I don't choose to use the simple password option, how many characters does the other option require? Since the manual isn't in the phone anymore, I thought I would check here.

In my case my complex password is 8 charactors long. If you only use numbers you it will show the number keyboard. if you use both it will show the regular keyboard.
