Hi,

For visitors of AppleVis site from non-English speaking countries, I'd like to announce a small but meaningful news about RiVO. We have been asked about support for languages other than English since the initial release of English version. Now RiVO versions are available for more languages.

Briefly, RiVO is a portable keyboard about the size of a credit card for iPhone. It's a smart keyboard to help people use iPhone easily, quickly and precisely by supporting VoiceOver, audio/music control, text typing and editing. Based on the initial RiVO version for English language, it has been expanded to support more languages.

Now there are RiVO individual language versions for iOS VoiceOver users speaking the following languages: Catalan, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.

Take a look about each version at http://mobience.com/rivo/versions.html.

Thanks.

Ein

Hello,
I have some questions about this product :
1. Is tehre much latency with this keyboard with VoiceOver ?
2. How much costs if I buy one english keyboard and a non english keyboard? How many physical keyboards will have I ?
3. Is it available for iOS 7.X ?

Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the questions. Here are my replies:

1. There's no RiVO-side latency at all.

2. iPhone accepts enough number of simultaneous connections. But, any RiVO version includes all the functionality of what RiVO English version provides. Thus you don't need to buy an English version other than the language version you want. If you still want to buy more than one for your convenience, thank you so much. :) Our RiVO Store at http://mobience.com/rivo/store is always where you can find the latest info about the price.

3. RiVO works with any iOS versions including iOS 7.x and iOS 8. There have always been minor iOS bugs, however, that we can't help it but to report to Apple and wait Apple to resolve in the iOS. As far as we are concerned, Apple always seems to try to resolve the issues faithfully though not all of them.

Thank you.

I'd like to purchase this but I'm put off by the fact that there's no way to find out how much battery is remaining.
Also, adding a slider switch at the top edge of the remote to allow us to switch between alphabet / qwerty / multimedia modes would make it much easier / simpler to work out which mode the remote was in, especially when travelling out and about. The Satechi Bluetooth Smart Pointer Remote Control uses this type of switch to change between presentation / multimedia / accessibility modes.
I use a Plantronics Bluetooth earpiece that speaks the battery level every time I power it on by saying power on, 11 hours remaining. and when I power it off, it says power off. Its reassuring to have that feedback
