Accessibility Comments

The push part works, but there is one major problem. VoiceOver will read the push notifications as they come in, but if you open the app, all the various items are not recognized by VoiceOver. If you double tap them, it will read, but I have not yet managed to copy a link to open it in safari.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

VoiceOver will now read the list view of notifications. Unfortunately, it still doesn’t read the link which is sent with the type of notifications I’ve been testing. That leaves me wondering if other services supported by this app display different information or controls in the place where the link is in my test notifications, and whether that would also not be accessible with VoiceOver.

I’ve also found on occasions that when tapping on a notification from the lock screen, the app seems to display a splash screen when loading and you cannot get past this with VoiceOver enabled. However, briefly toggling VoiceOver off and tapping on the splash screen causes the app to crash. Fortunately, when you open the app from the Home screen, this splash screen doesn’t appear to be displayed.

So, for now, this still has enough issues to prevent it from being a real option for VoiceOver users.
