Hi all,
I'm puzzled with something on my iPad, running iOS 7.1.1.
If I search for an app in the App Store and double-tap on a search result, a page is displayed with all of the information about the app. However, using Voice Over, I can't find a way to close that page and continue browsing the App Store. I think, under older versions of iOS, there used to be a "Done" button in one of the top corners — not anymore, as far as I can tell.
One workaround is to turn off Voice Over, and tap near the edge of the screen. This closes the page for the app. But does anyone know an accessible way of doing this?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Scrub
On my iPad, a two-finger scrub gesture works to get out of the app description page. The escape key on my Bluetooth keyboard also works.

That also works for me, and it's how I back out of the page with the app descriptions.

Awesome guys, thanks for your help! I was unfamiliar with the scrub gesture, but it worked perfectly and could be useful for other purposes I imagine.

Hi,
The "page" to which you refer is a "pop over" I believe. These are used quite a lot on the iPads, and can all be exited with the scrub jester. You can also find the edge of the screen with your finger (not a swipe), and you'll hear something like "Double tap to dismiss".
Just FYI, it's the same control as Safari uses for it's downloads window in OS X too, hens why escape works.
You get a specific noise when these puppies load up, so you'll know when to scrub etc.
