Hello, I updated the app, but unfortunately, I still cant pass Level 19. When I double tap to dispense popcorn and soda, it keeps saying that popcorn ready, soda ready and wont stop saying this even after I tap the screen when it prompted me to do so. Also, on level 22, whenever I try to catch the drum, the game crashes. Any help or suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

By Kerby on Monday, June 23, 2014 - 20:11

I don't have any problem now with level 19 but it crashes on level 22 when trying to get the drum.

By Rob on Monday, June 23, 2014 - 20:11

For those who are still having problems with level 19, the words "popcorn ready, soda ready" are spoken twice. After that, you can then tap the screen to continue as normal. Level 22 crashes for me too.

By KidFriendlySoftware on Monday, June 23, 2014 - 20:11

If you have a crash there, emailing me the diagnostic log would help
Here's what to do:
1 Tap in the upper right corner to bring up the settings screen
2 Wait for it to stop speaking, then Turn voice over on (tripe click home)
3 The button for sending diagnostic log is on the right side of the menu. Thanks

By Khalfan Bin Dhaher on Monday, June 23, 2014 - 20:11

Hi all.
I'd love to thank the developer for his continuous support and efforts. I'm enjoying this first accessible car racing game a lot.
Over all, BlindFold Racer is a great way to train the brane and to challenge against sighted players. Here are a list of comments and suggestions to make the game interface much better and easier for most users by adding different gestures to navigate the list of available items on the screen. For example: swiping right with 2 fingers goes to the next level, swiping left with 2 fingers goes to the previous level. Swiping right with 3 fingers opens up the settings screen, swiping left with 3 fingers reads up the guide. Tapping once with 2 fingers sees road after level over and so. Also, it would be very nice to change directions using the gyroscope.

By KE7ZUM on Monday, June 23, 2014 - 20:11

Actually you can change directions with the gyroscope. just tilt the phone.

Take care.

Hello, I can't send diagnostic log for Level 22 because when the app cashes, it takes me out of the app completely (Back to Home Screen). Any suggestion on how to send the diagnostic log when this happens?

By KidFriendlySoftware on Monday, June 23, 2014 - 20:11

Don't worry about sending the log. We are working on the issue, and have a new test version coming (with a challenge mode), and have about 15 gamers signed up to test, and the new test version will automatically send us diagnostic logs when there's a problem.

Hi! Can somebody explain me exactly how do I have to move my thumbs in order to speed up or down in level 11? I noticed that when I move my both thumbs from bottom to top of my IPhone screen at the same time (in landscape mode) the engine sound increases but I still make the same time for this level 119 seconds; I have the same problem ither with my Ipad and my IPhone, I think that the explanation the narrator gives is not quite clear.

Thanks in advance.

By KE7ZUM on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 - 20:11

Siply tap yoru thum ont he right to speed up and the left part to slow down. I did a podcast but I will probably update it as I kind of got my cables messed up the first time. Oops? But feel free to check it out anyway at lefel 11 as that rexplains it.

By JDawg on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 - 20:11

i can get the bongo and the bell, but my iPhone always crashes whenever i try and get the drum! help?

By KE7ZUM on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 - 20:11

Try submitting yoru diag logs to the ede when the app crashes either via itunes or the app. I believe the dev knows about this but it never hurts.

Take care.

How do you sound the horn, and how do you make the wind? I can't figure out how.

By Jana on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 - 20:11

Hello!
It really is a nice game but I encountered a bug. In level 22 the game crashes and exits. So I can't play get to the next level. What a pity, this should be fixed very soon!

Best regards,

Jana!

Hi,

I would like to ask you a question. Are there any podcasts that demonstrate Blindfold Racer or not?
Take care,

Ok, I haven't actually played this yet but I have just read this whole thread and wanted to contribute.

Firstly it does sound like a great game and I look forward to having a go when I'm in a position to have both earbuds in my ears, but I like a few people who have commented here am a huge fan of the windows top speed game and would love a simple racing game like this on the IPhone.

I'm not personally a fan of puzzles, especially as there are plenty of puzzle themed games available for the visually impaired but no games at all just focussing on actually racing at high speed apart from top speed. I love how relatively simple it is and the fact that you can multiplay. Many an enjoyable evening has been spent on skype and top speed at the same time on multiplay mode.... Before I got a job anyway!!!

I know this is a different game and love how flexible this sounds but I would love to have a good old fashioned plain and simple top speed style racing game on the IPhone.

Keep up the great work!!!

Hi,
I really love the music which plays in level 5. Is there a way to get this music for myself so that I can listen without playing the game?

By KE7ZUM on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

I think I named the song in my podcast. Maybe try and find it on itunes and get it from therre? I dunno.

Good luck.

By KidFriendlySoftware on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

Are you talking about the Turkish March? It's by Mozart and there are many variants available.

By KE7ZUM on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

Yeah my favorite is the one from brilliant classicls, mozart. They do a pretty good job with tha tone. I can't remember the level off hand, but it did fit what ever I was suposed to do.

Take care and be blessed.

By Jana on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

In reply to by KidFriendlySoftware

Yeah right, I'm talking about this turkish march. I really hope I can find this variant you used for the game.

By Kenshira The Trinity on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

Really liking this game. Not your traditional racer but thats ok.
Having a problem with the second troll stage though and any help would be appreciated. When 2 finger tapping at the troll to give him the items, the game instructs me to tap when i hear what i want to give the troll. Doing so however only causes the looping popcorn soda sounds to repeat faster, even when you're not in the level and the level does not progress. Any tips on getting around this would be really appreciated. If it helps, i'm running this on an ipod 4th gen with ios 6.1.6.
Having said that, its really great to see how far this game has come. Excellent work to the developers. I look forward to finishing the game. And thanks to all who submitted suggestions; this really looks like a finished product now.

By billy lei on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

Me too I have the same problem since the new update also I cannot honk the horn to each time I tap the screen The game kept safe resuming game sorry about my English

By Kerby on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

I can't seem to quiet the car engine sound even when I go to the settings and select soft.

By KidFriendlySoftware on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

1. We have another update in a day or two for bugs that the testers didn't catch, but have been reported since we released it. Please send me any problems.
2. We fixed a bunch already (itunes import, etc).
3. We redid how the engine sound works and how loud it is; I will check it again.
4. We will recheck the horn. Thanks.
5. We will recheck the troll levels. Thanks.

Keep reporting problems!

Once this version has been approved by all of you, we'll start releasing more levels.

By KE7ZUM on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

Wow nice. I have not yet finished my podcast due to the crash issue, and now tht Im going on a busines trip for a month I won't be able to update it for a while. Well, doing a podcast on a plain won't be easy unlike the plain that flew over during the podcast.

Good game and be blessed.

By Samantha Wyatt on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

I really like this game, and I can't wait to get to the new levels I haven't played yet. I just have a couple of issues. First, I don't know how to make wind. I have figured out the horn, and that works well, but I can't figure out the wind. Also, in level 30, where you have to cross 2 rivers, I can't get past the first one, because there doesn't seem to be a ramp that takes you over the bridge. Other than these minor things, I love this game, and keep up the good work!

By KidFriendlySoftware on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

When the next version is out (about a week), sound horn by tapping with two fingers. To make wind (wait for next version also) - blow into the microphone. I will check the two river level again.

By KidFriendlySoftware on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

Hi. Now that the game is becoming more popular, I need a way to keep funding it. People seem to like the game. Here's my idea:

The first 15 or so levels will be free, but to access the next 25 levels, or challenge mode, or using your iTunes library for fence music - will require a $2.99 in-app upgrade called the Starter Pack. Anyone who downloaded any version of Blindfold Racer prior to Sept 1, 2014 will not have to pay for the Starter Pack.

Then I will start creating more add-on levels as upgrades. I am planning one add-on set of levels that will just be driving without puzzles - such as longer tracks with more environmental sounds , and another add-on will concentrate on puzzles (like the troll or the time bomb). It would also be priced around $2 to $3 for about 25 levels.

Please give me your comments. Thanks

Both rivers have bridges. You just have to find them. Listen carefully for music that is both going up and down in pitch. That tells you that it is one structure going up and down over the river. Stop reading this comment now if you don't want more of a cheat. But hints on the location of these bridges: The first is pretty far on the right, and the second is way way far on the left. You have to drive along the second river for quite a while before you get to it.

By Ashley B on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

With the new version, I am blowing to make wind. Into the speaker of my ear-pods headset, the openings at the bottom of the phone by the headphone jack, the speaker at the top of the phone. Every possible opening. Maybe you have to make a certain kind of sound with the wind rather than just blowing. But I have been making all kinds of sounds and blowing hard. Any help? Perhaps a newer version should have some kind of gesture instead for this. Such as using a finger to make wavey wind motions on the screen...

By KidFriendlySoftware on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

In the current version the wind noise threshold was too high. The next version lowers it. With 2 bridges, there was a bug that never lets you over the 2nd bridge. It was created because in challenge mode, we move the bridges around. In practice mode, the bridges are always the same. This too is fixed in the version that apple should release in about a week.

By Samantha Wyatt on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

Thanks for your help, and I can't wait for the next version.

By Kerby on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

I can't seem to get through level 28 where you're supposed to feed the troll and pass the bear in the road. It says tap the screen to feed the troll but then when I do that it just says resuming game and it keeps saying popcorn soda. I love the game though and I do appreciate the improvements that are being made. Keep up the good work.

By Karina Velazquez on Saturday, August 23, 2014 - 20:11

Yes, I also have the same problem at level 28 just as it was descrived before. hope they find the solution soon as it is a wonderful game.

By KidFriendlySoftware on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 - 20:11

Finally, Apple released the version with the problems mentioned earlier fixed. If you encountered a problem, please try it again and let me know. I went back and forth with Apple for 3 weeks, and had to submit 2 additional versions to comply with their inconsistent standards. I wrote about it in my blog.

What's New in Version 2.2

Improved steering for faster turning and more accurate
Phone vibrates when you hit something

By James Dean on Thursday, October 23, 2014 - 20:11

Hi:

I am using an iPhone 6, latest version of iOS and Blindfold Racer as of this writing. I can only play until I beat level 11, where you have to use the Jetpack. When I press the bottom right corner of the screen to continue, it tells me that I must purchase the starter pack. Whenever I try to do so, I am asked to sign into the iTunes store, but I am only presented with a keyboard and no done/continue button. I would like to be able to play more of this game, but apparently there is some bug that is preventing me from purchasing the pack so I can play passed level 11. Once this keyboard appears, there is no way to get it to disappear except to respring the phone. Going to the home screen, trying to bring up the App switcher or even turning VoiceOver off than on again will not make the keyboard go away. Once the phone has been resprung, opening the app tells me that it is unable to connect to the iTunes store, which would make sense, because there is nothing to tell it that I am done entering the password. Of course, once I press OK to dismiss that message, the one from the App comes up telling me that the starter pack was unable to be purchased. So, any help with this would be great.

Thanks

By James Dean on Sunday, November 23, 2014 - 20:11

I was able to use Touch ID to purchase the starter pack instead of my password. For some reason, Touch ID wasn't an option before, I suppose because each time I had tried to purchase the starter pack before, I hadn't used Touch ID to sign into the App store before trying to purchase the starter pack after a restart of the phone. So, now that I have the starter pack, I figured out how to blow the horn in level 29, but still unsure how to make wind, but I guess I'll read back in the comments because I seem to remember someone else having trouble with it as well. I'm enjoying this game very much! I had a hard time getting all three instruments and with the ramps over the river. What a nice challenging game! I also prefer the car engine sound to denote speed. It seems easier to tell where your car is on the road. I set the engine sound to medium and have the fence music play as usual.

Great work guys!

By KidFriendlySoftware on Sunday, November 23, 2014 - 20:11

Sorry about the purchase problem. The problem was due to keyboard popping up in portrait mode while you held the phone in landscape mode, and the OK button was off of the screen. Put the phone into portrait mode when you are ready to purchase the upgrade.

The next version will put the phone in portrait mode automatically in the upgrade screen, and it will tell you its in portrait.

By jeremy jeffers on Sunday, November 23, 2014 - 20:11

Having trouble with changing certain settings. I purchased the extra pack that would allow you extra levels in challenge mode, and other various features. But I'm having an issue, the game will not let me access the extra features. I've tried to reactivate the purges but no luck, I try to buy it again but no luck. has anyone else had this issue?Any help would be greatly appreciated

By KidFriendlySoftware on Sunday, November 23, 2014 - 20:11

I know about this problem, and have already resubmitted the fixed version to apple. They should release it in about a week. In the meantime, we've made the in-app upgrade for STARTER PACK to be free.
