Viewing the number of attachments in a message sent or received using Mail in Mavericks

Hi all. Probably a simple answer, I attached three files to a message. I wanted to double check I didn't mess up, but all i see is it saying the name of one attachment, image. Is there a key stroke or other way of making sure all three files are attached? Like in Jaws, three attachments it would tell me. Thanks.

The best way i've found of attaching files is by copying them (cmd-c) in Finder, and then pasting directly into the body of the email (cmd-v). VO will then read each filename between the two clicks that signify embedded text. If a file is not read anywhere in the message, it is not there. If you really want a numeric announcement, I suggest looking into making an Applescript script to report the information.

Hi Medcaf. Hope i got that right. I wasn't aware you could copy and paste attachments. I attached using command shift A eatch file. a bit of a pain in the well, because I didn't know how to append to one selection without screwing it up. I'm 99% sure all three I needed to send are there, I only saw one image name. Worse comes to worse i can send the others if need be. Thanks for answering my question.

If non-contiguous selections are giving you trouble, I recommend taking a look at my intro to the Finder which explains the process. You can use that to copy and paste, or while attaching files from the menu option. Again, Applescript should be able to offer a count of attachments, I believe, though I haven't made such a script personally.
