Hi. I think this should be fixed as soon as possible. The link to the tap tap see site, is wrong. I don't no what the tap tap see site is, I'm going to look it up now, but the one that the apple vis people link to is wrong. I hope this can be fixed.

Hi Brad, Thanks for pointing out the error in the developer website address, which has now been corrected. For what it's worth, the website is www.TapTapSeeApp.com Michael Hansen AppleVis Editorial Team
Cool cool. Yeah this app just keeps getting better. does anyone know what the new subscription options and credits are? I don't use the app just now so won't investigate but still. good luck and happy holidays to all.
Ah Ok. I jut checked theirh twitter and they still give the 2 pics options the 7.99 and the month for I forgot how much. lol! Take care and thanks.
Is anyone else having an issue with TapTapSee not saving subscription purchases? I bought the 100-pack a few weeks ago, then updated the app yesterday morning. It asked me to purchase a subscription, and even though I was pretty sure I hadn't used all my pictures, it was possible my family members had been playing with the app over the holidays. So I purchased another 100 pictures yesterday evening, used 1 of them last night, and this morning, it's asking me to purchase a subscription again. I'm going to contact the developer but also wanted to see if this was happening to anyone else.
Brooke, Please email us from the app itself. There was an issue with the update that will be resolved in the next update, due to be released ASAP. We removed TapTapSee for the time being. Again, please email us from within the app and mention the issue that you've experienced. Thank you, TapTapSee Team

Hey guys.

I was talking to someone a while back who said that you can only purchase packages via your credit card and not via an iTunes Gift Card. Is this true?

By Khalfan Bin Dhaher on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 - 21:18

This update brings automatic barcode recognition support just by pointing your devices camera to the product, taking picture is not necessary for this feature.

* Various stability enhancements.
* Added Croatian (hr) locale support.

Does the bar code recognition still use credits or is this now free?

I used this app to interpret the results of a pregnancy test, and it was accurate. I am almost completely blind, and positioned the camera a few inches above the test window, and took a picture. A few seconds later, the app said: white pregnancy test indicating a negative result. Unbelievable. I had a friend confirm as well just to be certain, and was blown away. I would absolutely back this app financially in order to keep it.

Hi all, I recently purchased an iPad Mini and was hoping to install TapTapSee on it as I have heard so many great things about this app and I am very keen to try it out for myself. I tried to find it in the Apple app store today, and was very disappointed to discover that it is only available to download for the iPhone??!!
:(
Does anyone know why I can't get this app for my Mini?? Has anyone else had this issue?
Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated!!

Hi, maybe its a dumb question but how do you point the phone to a certain object? Thanks and God bless.

By riyu12345 (not verified) on Saturday, February 21, 2015 - 21:18

Hi.

It's not a silly question, your camra on your phone is on the back of the phone. If you put the thing you want to take a picture of undernieth your phone and then lift it up and double tap on the camra button, I think it's called, then it will take a picture

Is it possible to use the app in english? My phone is in Spanish, but the translation is automated, sometimes making it harder to know what is it

Yep, I just tried it on a couple of things and it works like a charm! Glad apple finally! decided to release the update!

By Bhavesh Patel on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 - 21:18

Hi guys, if i upgrade from ios 7.1.2 to ios 8.3, will the older version, say 2.1 etc. of TapTapSee work on that update? sorry if this sounds like a stupit question...

By Justin on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 - 21:18

I am not sure. I would say no, time to update to the latest app version of tap tap see. You could try it, however I am sure that you'll run into the picture failed to send message under 8.3. The latest version works wonderfully, so I would update the app.

1) Has TapTapSee yet implemented a feature where you can pay for additional pictures/picture packages with iTunes gift cards, credit, etc.? Having to pay via credit card is what has kept me from using it since I started having to pay for pictures.

2) Has the BeMyEyes app pretty much supplanted TapTapSee now so that the latter has become slow/unresponsive/anything like that, or is TapTapSee still a good option to use?

Thanks.

I just saw that this app is now free for unlimited use. So if you were waiting until the app would be free to use without restrictions, now is the time to get it if you don't yet have it on your device.

By alex wallis on Sunday, February 21, 2016 - 21:18

this is very welcome news, it bothered me how cam find was always kept free when we had to pay, but its great that this is free. tap tap see said on there twitter they now have enough business to support making tap tap see free, which I thin they should be commended for, very generous of them to use there profit to enable this to be free for everyone.

By DMNagel on Sunday, February 21, 2016 - 21:18

I'm still on credits. I have 98 remaining.

By DMNagel on Sunday, February 21, 2016 - 21:18

I just saw the update. Cool stuff.

By peter on Sunday, February 21, 2016 - 21:18

if use of the app is now free, what is their financial model? How are they making money? Is there some other in app purchase that I don't know about?

By alex wallis on Sunday, February 21, 2016 - 21:18

they just said on twitter they have enough business to allow tap tap see to be free, so I think this means they are making profit from other things some of which they are using to allow them to make tap tap see free.

By Austin Grace on Sunday, February 21, 2016 - 21:18

Hello. You can use taptapsee on the iPad mini without any trouble. You just set your app store to iPhone only apps. I found it a bit cumbersome using it on the iPad due to the size but yes it can be done.

By Teardrop on Monday, March 21, 2016 - 21:18

After reading all these positive comments about this app on here I've decided to give it a try and I'm happy I did! I'm amazed of how precisely it recognized almost everything on the pictures I took. It is already one of my favorite iPhone applications and I will surely recommend it to all my visually impaired friends who still don't know about this app.
A big thanks goes to the developers. Keep it up and running cause it helps many people to be more independent!

By ellzagirliegirl on Thursday, April 21, 2016 - 21:18

I first downloaded this app around the time this was first posted, however never really got into using it until 2014. Then I realised you had to purchas credits to use it. So, purchased a couple. I don't think you should ever have had to pay for this app and the prices were a little O!T!T! Β£10 for 1 month? However, the app became free in February 2016 and honestly I am so glad. I use it to identify food, clothes, and random object alert! This is an absolute essential for a blind person, or a visually impaired person.

By Justin on Saturday, January 21, 2017 - 21:18

Nope. The focused beeps work on my end. I make sure it is turned on in the about screen.

By JeffB on Saturday, January 21, 2017 - 21:18

The focus sound doesn't seem to do anything for me so I turned it off.

By Ornella on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 - 21:18

I agree with everything you said. They say the obvious which we already know. I had to take a picture 5 or more times to get a description of a flavoured juice pack. It said juice pack but didn't say the flavor until so many attempts it said strawberry juice pack.
