viewing Outlook appointments and contacts on a Windows PC with ICloud installed

Hello, friends,

I recently installed the ICloud control center on my PC, which has Windows 7 as its operating system. I have an IPhone 4S with IOS 7 installed on it, and I am using ICloud on that device. I use the screen reader JAWS on my computer. I am having trouble viewing appointments in Outlook since installing ICloud on my computer. Now that I have the ICloud control center installed on my PC, usually, when I navigate to a day on which I have appointments and press Tab to see a list of the appointments for that day, I get placed in a list box, but JAWS says, "Start date none", rather than reading the titles of my appointments. I actually contacted Freedom Scientific regarding this problem, and they said that several of their employees are using ICloud for their personal appointment scheduling and are not experiencing this problem. They suggested that I try switching to "Day view" in my Outlook calendar and making sure I have all the latest Microsoft Office updates. I've done this and am still having the same problem. One thing I don't have is ITunes installed on my computer. I thought that maybe my calendar on my IPhone isn't synced with my Outlook calendar and that maybe I need to install ITunes and sync the two calendars. However, I do get alerts on both my IPhone and my Outlook calendars when I have an appointment. For the most part, my contact lists on my IPhone and computer are synced well without using ITunes.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Does anyone have other recommendations on how to make it so I can view my appointments in Outlook with ICloud installed? Freedom Scientific technical support doesn't think it's a problem with JAWS.

Are you sure that the calendar syncs with Icloud? Check it in settings, Icloud. I have not tested icloud Control center but I sync my Calendar with Icloud without problem.

Do I need to check that the calendars are set to sync in Settings under ICloud on my IPhone? I looked for a sync button in the settings there, but I didn't see one. I did see that the option for calendars is turned on in ICloud on my phone.

Hello,

One thing that Freedom Scientific suggested is that the color settings on my computer may need to be reset so that they are compatible with JAWS in order for me to see the events in my Outlook calendar. Does anyone know how to access and change these settings to the appropriate color resolution to be compatible with JAWS?
