Hello everyone. I've noticed something strange, I tried to be as descriptive in the subject line as posible. Here's my question. If you have IOS 7.1.1 hold down the home button, and with it down, press a volume button with Voice over on. You'll hear a beep, nothing seems to hapen but this behavior happens whether or not you press Up or down. My question is simple, What is that and why is that happening? If anyoen ahs any idea please let me know. I don't know if this occurs ona jail broken device I'd be interested to know if someone does this with theirs and it is happening to them. Thanks.

I've noticed this as well sense iOS6
Not sure what it is or why it happens, probably just a sound to let you know something is happening, as far as a physical button push even though it's not a command tied to software. No, doesn't only happen with JB devices.
Taking a "Stackshot"
Hi Siobhan,
When you hold down the home button and press a volume button, this takes a "stackshot"--a picture of what the OS is doing at that particular time. This is useful for Apple engineers when attempting to troubleshoot bugs. I have only ever needed to do this during beta-testing of features.
What??
Huh? No!? Are you sure??
I've always used this to adjust the volume of Siri! Home key + volume keys sure do that and makes that dinging sound while doing it, but it might do what you suggested too, Michael... Just wasn't aware of that... :)
Screenshot is home plus lock button
Hi all,
Michael, to take a screenshot, you press the home and the lock/unlock button at the top of the phone. This is the assumption that you are referring to a screenshot, appologies if I got it wrong. tried the home and volume buttons and it does indeed adjust the volume of Siri, as someone else already mentioned :)
RE: Taking a Stackshot
Are there any instructions on how to access the log files on Windows? all I found are those for the Mac.
