Hello

I was just wondering if there is a way to Skip YouTube ads after the 5 or so seconds are up. i know in the iOS app you can just use VoiceOver to hit the Skip Ad Button. Is there a way to access this on the Mac? There are keyboard shortcuts (J to rewind, K to Pause/Play, L to fast forward) to control playback, so is there one for skipping an ad?

Thanks

Hello,

If you jailbreak your phone you can install a tweak that allows you to skip any and all ads anywhere on any app; on any site. If you do not jailbreak, nope; your S.O.L. -Andrew-

not related to jailbreaking or iOs, but what I use for skipping adds is Google chrome. There are no video adds on youtube or any other sites, at least none that I have seen so far. Chrome is the way to go for youtube on the mac. AddBlock used to work in safari, but doesn't anymore.

Try installing Adblock Plus. Not Adblock, but Adblock Plus. I'm not sure if it blocks youtube video ads, but at least you will ged rid of ad frames and if you choose it even social networking frames.

Hmmmm, I thought I installed that. Ah well. I'll give that a shot. But, as stated in an earlier comment, I use google chrome. It works well with Voiceover, apart from a few crashes here and there. But, no adds with chrome which is very nice.
