Hello everyone,
I'm wondering how accurate this app is? Also the app description didn't say if the app follows your current location. If anyone has used this app I would like to hear your thoughts on it. Thank you.
I've used it for a few days and it seems very accurate. If you allow the app to use the GPS then it will automatically track your location. If not you can enter a location manually.
Hello everyone,
I got a notification from Rain Alarm. A few things I don't understand though. It says precipitation is one mile away. I know what that means, but then it says strength 50 percent, area 50 percent. What does it mean by strength and area? If anyone could shed some light on this for me I would really appreciate it! Thank you.
I had the very same question when I first started using this app. Took me a bit but I finally figured out what those numbers mean.
Strength is telling you how heavy of the precipitation that is being detected. So 100% is like a heavy downpour or heavy rain. 50% would be lesser and would be consider as moderate rain. 10% would be something like a drizzle or light rain.
Area is telling you how much the precipitation is covering in your area that you are watching. By default I think it is set to 22 miles radius in the settings. So when the alert says it is 100% it then means the entire radius is covered with precipitation. 50% would be that half of the radius is covered with precipitation. 10% would be that only 10% of the radius is covered with precipitation.
Yes that answers my question. Thank you. I would usualy get an email notification letting me know that someone has commented on something that I commented on. I am not getting these notifications any more. Has this feature been disabled some how? I would like to receive my email notifications again. Thank you.
Hello all,
I'm just wondering how or if this app is different from the app Dark Sky? It sounds like they are both very similar and do the same thing. Thank you.
