Hi all, I’m a new mac user. After switching to the mac eco system, I found out a problem: The flash object on safari was not easy to navigate. I felt hard to pause, play or adjust the slide control when I’m on video site such as youtube. Just want to know how you can do this? Thank you very much for your answer.

Hi, For my case, when on the youtube.com website, pressing the letter J for backward, letter K for pause/play and letter L for forward. Hopefully it helps.

Hello. For youtube, I'd suggest to switch to HTML5, as it is logically labeled and easier to navigate. Flash objects usually are pretty hard to navigate and I haven't found a good workaround for them.

Thank you for the hotkey J,K and L on youtube. It really works. But for other sites that didn't deploy a quick key, there isn't still a good way to navigate those controls. I've also thought that converting to HTML5 format should be a good way, but that still isn't like the browsing experience on a i device. I still found it hard to quickly pause or resume the player.

Unfortunately, flash is one of those few areas that is less usable on the mac than it is on Windows. Often, flash players are not visible on web sites with VoiceOver, so unless the site has an html 5 player you may be out of luck as far as controlling the audio in some cases.
