Features:

• Automatically back up the photos and videos in your camera roll—all in the background.

• Access any file in your account—even offline—and preview over 175 file types, no special software required.

• Easily share large files by copying and pasting a link you can send to anyone, even if they don’t have a Dropbox account.

• Scan documents using your camera, and turn receipts, documents, whiteboards, and notes into PDFs.

Sign up now for your free Dropbox Plus trial. You'll have room for all your files, and space to spare, with 2,000 GB of storage. Our latest sync technology can automatically move stale items off your computer and to the cloud. And Dropbox Rewind lets you roll back any file, folder, or your entire account, up to 30 days.

Or, existing Plus customers can upgrade to Dropbox Professional. With 3 TB (3,000 GB), you can store all your stuff—from work projects to personal photos—and have space to spare. You and your clients can comment on most file types without leaving Dropbox. And you can protect your work with a watermark, add shared link controls, or rewind your account up to 180 days.

Before starting a trial or completing payment, you’ll see the plan price. This amount will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and on renewal and will vary by plan and country. Dropbox subscriptions renew monthly or yearly, depending on your plan. Your account will charged for renewal 24 hours before the end of your current billing period. To avoid auto-renewal, turn it off in at least 24 hours before your subscription renews. You can turn off auto-renewal anytime time from your iTunes account settings. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase.

The latest update has added the ability to batch upload photos from your iDevice to your Dropbox account.

I had been looking forward to using this, but there seems to be no way of selecting photos with VoiceOver enabled.

Has anybody found a way of making this work?

The same old Dropbox as we knew is still very accessible. Now offer the features of the automatic upload of your videos and pictures that are on your device. Quite nice feature to ensure all backup of your pictures are not lost. However, when viewing the Photos tab you will see the new timeline of when the photos were taken but each Images are listed as Images Button. So say if I were to take 6 picutes today. All six will be automatically backed up on to DropBox but in the timeline of today. It will show 6 buttons all with the same description. It will all say Image button. Other than that everything appears to be very accessible and easy to use.

What's New in Version 2.0

• Shiny new design
• New Photos tab with a timeline view of all your automatically uploaded photos and videos

Unfortunately, the swipe gesture that's been added in the newest update doesn't appear to be usable with VoiceOver. I have enough residual vision to know that I can action the initial part of the gesture by doing a one-fingered double tap and hold, followed by a slide of my finger whilst keeping it pressed to the screen - this makes a row of icons appear in place of the file name, but these are not accessible with VoiceOver.
clarification needed. how much space it takes if we install dropbox with our I phone? will it store all the files in our device as well? Can I make use of my earlier dropbox which I was using it with my desktop? But it contains at about 8 gig files and foulder. will all those files and foulders will also get sinked with my phone? If I'm having 8 gig I phone, and if the dropbox downloads all the files, I don't think I'll be having more space for anything else. Guess my question is not confusing.

No. as you know the files are not directly downloaded to the phone unless you mark them as a favorite, and even then you are only limited to 1 gig of storage not all you have on your phone. Hth.

Ok. some comments regarding the accessibility comments. 1. I have found a way to get out of the actions button. Just choose one of the options such as sort by and then choose action and sort again or what not. 2. as for delete I find it quicker to just delete the file by double tapping. i've always done it this way over the 2 years Iv'e used dropbox on ios. 3. the pictures always have been accessible and it appears dropbox will not change this. I'v efocntactdd them via their email, the forums at http://forum.dropbox.com and their twitter name but I hit a brick wall on that front. Over all the app for me is more stream lined and very easy to use. so just give it a try and see.
Doesn’t double-tapping on a file download it? If so, I would be a bit frustrated at having to download a file to simply delete or share it, particularly if it’s a large file and I’m on cellular.

The way I delete items is to select the More Actions button. Then double-tap Select in the menu. Then double-tap each file or whatever you want to delete and VoiceOver will speak the items as being "selected". Then just double-tap the Delete button at the bottom of the screen.

Hi all, I've noticed a problem over the past few weeks. I use CHM Plus to read epub files. Usually I'd open the file in the Dropbox app and then hit export. ILately, Dropbox tells me it can't recognize the file and doesn't open it. They are normal epub files, I've tested many different ones, and all open fine in other applications. Even Voice Dream reader syncs to Dropbox fine but Dropbox won't let me open to export. Has anyone else noticed this?

I bought an IPhone 5S yesterday and am working on customizing and setting up my most frequently used apps. Unfortunately, when I load dropbox, I am presented with a welcome screen that I can not navigate past. It has the option to sign in with an existing account but voiceover doesnt see it as a button or link, thus doubletapping it does nothing. I won't be able to use any of the apps I link to dropbox until I find a way to access the dropbox log in fields, because all of the apps launch dropbox for me to sign in, an I get that welcome screen again. Has anyone found an accessible way to get to the user name and password fields from the dropbox welcome screen? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

By billy lei on Thursday, January 23, 2014 - 07:58

You need to turn voiceover off then tap on the middle of the screen then turn voice over back on You should get a log and screen I help is help
I tried turning voiceover off a few times and tapping on the place on the screen where I thought the option to sign into an existing account was, but it didnt work. I also tried the doubletap and hold, then tapping on the option with voiceover running, without success. I'll probably see if one of my sighted coworkers can help me with this one, as I expect to only have to log into dropbox once, then link the notesy and dropvox apps to it.
I can't remember how I did it but it was without turning vo off. I just swiped throughout he tour with my 3 fingers and I eventually got to the log in thing. I don't feel like reinstalling to test this. lol! Take care and be blessed.
I tried the three finger swipes left and right through all four pages of the dropbox tour before I posted my question about it, but never did find the user name and password fields.
I'm nothing if not persistent. :) I'm not exactly sure how I did it, but through a combination of everyone's suggestions, I somehow found my way to the log in screen of dropbox, signed in and configured it, then linked dropvox and notesy to dropbox. Now my IPhone is all set up the way I want it! Thanks again to everyone for your help!

I cannot get past the welcome screen. Swiping to learn more about Dropbox does nothing. Near the bottom of the screen, I'm asked if I already have an account, but nothing happens when I tap the place where I hoped I might be able to sign in.

By KE7ZUM on Sunday, February 23, 2014 - 07:58

Just keep trying. That' how I had to do it. or split tap sign up, then sign in.

take care.

By MarkSarch on Sunday, February 23, 2014 - 07:58

hi Kathy to pass the welcome screen try to tap and hold using one finger on the center on the screen, this is the only part that's is tricky passing this step all the rest is accessible. also try using the short cut disable and later enable voiceOver but I think using press and hold then flick left or right you will ritch pass this screen.

By KE7ZUM on Sunday, March 23, 2014 - 07:58

I just hit sign up then there should be a sign in button some ware, at least I think that's how i last did it.

Good luck.
