Hello to all. I need a bit of help using iOS pages. I have to create some foot notes for a paper and I don't have pages on my computer as of yet so decided I'd work on this on my phone until I get pages next march. I want something to turn in to my professor by the beginning of march. lol!

Anyway I found some instructions on how to do this but cannot figure out how to do this with voice over. here they are to the best of my ability.

  1. put your curser where you want the foot note to go.
  2. tap the area where you have your insertion point.
  3. tap the arrow for more info
  4. tap text
  5. tap foot note

That's it as far as I'm concerned, how ever I cannot get this to work at all. I'm using iOS 7.0.6 and the latest pages on my iPhone 5. Any help please?

Thanks.

Hi Marrie, so here is how I insert foot notes. I am using a German localization so my translations might not match the actual English VO messages! 1. Place the curser where you want the footnote to be inserted. 2. Make sure you activate this area as if you would want to type something- you probably already did. 3. Now use the rotor to select "Editing" 4. Select "insert" or whatever it is called in English. Be sure not to select the clipboard paste command which is probably simply called "paste" there is another one. 5. A dialog opens where you can select "footnote" 6. After clicking it the curser is placed in a second field where you can enter the footnote. That should do the trick /Roland

Uh, wow? in the years that I've used iOS, I never thought to look in the edit menu. that seem a bit cumbersome but yeah. I'll give that a try the next time I save my paper in the cloud. I have it saved locally now.

Thanks and good luck.
