Important: This version of Sky Go is exclusively available for Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers. If you have Sky Q or Sky+ please continue using the existing Sky Go app.

Accessibility Comments

This is a new separate version of the Sky Go app for Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers. It is mostly accessible, and on the major plus side it does support audio description, but unfortunately there are currently some important navigation issues.
The home tab lacks headings, plus it is not possible to swipe right the whole way through rails or the TV guide, as with voiceover the screen fails to scroll right beyond what is visually on screen.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver, but the interface makes the app very difficult to use.

Other Comments

It appears you can continue to use the original Sky Go app, now called Sky Go (Q/+), which is better with voiceover, but lacks audio description and does not sync your playlists etc.

How do you get the audio description on? Is it available on live streams or just catchup? I did have a poke about when it was released but couldn't find much.

For clarity though, it works on both live TV and on catch up. It is linked to your device’s audio description setting.
