Strange voice over issue

iPhone 16. iOS 26.7
When I navigate around my screen, suddenly Voice Over says things like Facebook screen shot sky,
Sports Alerts screen shot sky
I have turned voice over off and back on and this issue still comes back. It has also said other things as well.
Thoughts?

Go to VoiceOver settings under Verbosity check to see if you have any custom labels set up and see if that clears the issue after you delete them. also, if you have screen, recognition turned on turn that off and see if that helps

Describe images are turned on. Go to the settings>accessibility>voiceover and in the rotor settings, there is a setting for describe images. You have to use the rotor to turn off describe images for every app that does this. My Vodafone app says "drink" and my NHS app says "medicine" on some graphics. It's basically telling you what a sighted person is seeing on the screen.

Clarification:
If you do this on your home screen, you will not have to do it for every app icon, if you do it once, it will be labeled as home screen and App Library. Turning it off will disable this for all of your home screens, plus the App Library screen.
You will have to do it on other screens of course, for example if this happens to you in the control center, notification center, or the today view.
A note on the today view, the image description control will read it as, "WidgetRenderer_Default".
