loving this!
Wow! I'm already very addicted to this one, just hoping I can figure out how the locations work.
I love this game.
It took a bit of getting used to but as the level goes up it kind of gets a bit harder but i am understanding it. I don't understand how the other things that paige mentioned works either. Was trying to figure that out but will play a bit more later on.
Locations
I'm likewise not quite sure. I've written to the developers so hopefully I'll have more explanations soon! The controls in that screen mostly do seem to read, but I'm just not sure what the screen's purpose is.
Also, update on the challenges. There are things in the daily challenge screens that need claiming, but also in the locations screen. If this is true for you, I believe a claim button will appear right up at the top to unlock different toppings, bases and even music. Though I haven't seen any of the things I've unlocked thus far so maybe the slots have something to do with enabling them? Unclear! I'm just glad I got the message about having rewards to claim went away.
drink menu
I don't know what the slots are about, but I figured out if you click on your location and go down to where it says drink menu, it has all the default drinks in a list, you can click on any of them and change the base, topping, and straw color to any of the ones you've unlocked instead of the default.
claiming gifts
I claimed stuff but there's a timer on one of the game. I think it said 5 minutes but when i backed out of it i didn't see it again. so don't know what that's about.
re: claiming gifts
One of the rewards is to complete a certain number of games in a certain amount of time, (I forget the exact numbers now and maybe they change), anyway I believe that timer is showing how much time you have left.
Locations
Ok. I have confirmation from the developer. The slots are just for the visual store front you display at any time and don't impact game play at all. The bigger reasons to go into that screen are claiming rewards, switching your drink menu around, and changing your music. Hope this helps someone!
Hidden?
So I am now at Tokyo and one of my cups says hidden for three of the items. Can someone give me a clue as to what this means does it mean I have to remove whatβs on top to reveal? Whatβs underneath or something else?
hidden
It is exactly that, the hidden items will be revealed only once you have moved what is on top. Later you will also encounter frozen cups, where another cup has to be solved before you can see any of the tea inside.
This games so addictive, it's killing me!
This game has me in it's pocket. I can't stop playing. It's so good. I don't know when my phone got so full of puzzle type games, but this is a great addition.
Thank you from the developer
Hi, I'm Kennan, the developer of Boba Sort. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who downloaded the game and commented here. After I published the game, it got hardly any downloads for the first couple of weeks and I was honestly thinking about giving up on game development. However, after this post, it got some downloads and engagement, and I've been so happy to see that people are enjoying the game and the accessibility features.
A few people also reached out via email with some really good suggestions that I'm publishing soon in versions 1.3 and 1.4. In particular, the game has a travel theme, where beating more levels unlocks more cafe locations in your franchise. These were previously represented as images, but with the new app versions, there are also detailed descriptions that will be read by VoiceOver on the Cafes view. I hope this adds some more charm to the game, and please feel free to contact me with more suggestions.
I will definitely try this.
this looks like a cosy game I can get really addicted too!!!! I will download it. I love how the developer is improving it as well.
Thank you!
It definitely added so much charm, I love getting to see the places in which I'm serving, thank you so much! Also, welcome to the community and, though your life always comes first, I dearly hope you don't give up on game development any time soon! I'll keep trying to spread this game to more folks I know, blind and sighted alike. Best of luck and know you are appreciated!
Thanks
Thanks for making such a fun game. ATM you've kind of cornered the market for accessible sorting puzzles like this. At least I am not aware of any other accessible water sort or color sort or ball sorting games. But beyond that little thing, the game is nice and polished. It's one of my favorite puzzle games on my phone. Thanks for adding my suggestions to the game.
Coins
So I haven't gotten that far and I am on level 5. I do have coins and don't know how to spend them or what they are used for. If anyone knows, please share.
coins
The coins are spent on powerups you can use in each level. There is no direct shop. The powerups are in the individual levels. If you have enough coins, they will be spent and the powerup will be applied Then you can use it in that level.
This is a great game
this game is really addictive. The only thing is, I'm stuck at level 5 and I can't get power-ups. I'm having trouble with claiming the rewards and I can't figure out how to claim rewards that I get notified about but I can't actually find them.
I may have figured this out
Ok, I think I know what the deal is. With voice-over you have to do a lot of swiping around until you hear it tell you to claim the free reward, and after a couple more swipes to the right you hear a button. When it says a reward is available in the home tab after completing a level, you double tap the home button, swipe till it says daily challenges and double tap it. Then it tells you how to claim new rewards. Like if you've already beat nine levels and it wants you to beat eleven levels, for example.
This game is very adictive and worthy of financial donations. I've also figured out the power-ups, although it takes a lot of swiping around to find out that one of the power-ups is 290 coins. So you basically have to pick how many coins you want to buy and hope you've got enough to get at least two power-ups. There's still more to discover with this game but it's amazing so I'm going to keep playing it.
Re: I may have figured this out
You have figured it out. I hope you're having as much fun as me.
loving the updates
I just have to reiterate how much I love this game, I'm definitely playing it a bit too much! The updates have been great, I love that the daily challenges are easier to claim and that screen looks cleaner overall, and the ability to watch ads for half cups has saved me a restart more than a few times. I have one suggestion, it would be really cool if we could have the option for the game to automatically cycle between unlocked music tracks, instead of having to pick just one. There also seems to be a small bug, (or maybe I'm misunderstanding something). When I switch the drink bases in the drink menu, that change is reflected in the puzzles, but when I switch out the toppings, they don't change in the puzzles.
