Hello everyone. first off, thanks for anyone who tried to help, but i went outside of this community, because I wanted to further my experiences before I contacted South West about their mobile airline site. Here's the curious scenario. Using windows with Jaws, as demoed by a friend, as well as Internet explorer, or Safari on an iPhone/pad, things work fine. A little strange button labeling, but that's to be expected. However if you use a Mac, with safari, or windows iwth jaws as well as Firefox, the site shows as i previously described. Armed with my experiences alson with those my friend coroberated, I was on Skype, I emailed south west. i just got word i would get word back within seven to ten days, because they forwarded it to their customer relations departed for "Further reivew." Meaning I'm pretty sure they will discover what i have. I'll keep you updated.

Hmm. I can use south west's site just fine. just click on the accessibility link and there yea go. I was able to search for a flight and hit the boom button. I did not pay for the trip though as I was not going any ware but I just wanted to try. Good luck.
Hi. Thanks for doing that, but I'm now confused. Did youuse the main site? I was specifially talking about the mobile.southwest.com site. I had thought I posted that as a link. if I didn't let's try this. m.southwest.com now, depending on what you're using, if you have a Mac it will show user name, password fields, button, log in button and continue as guest. Click anywhere on that page, and you should understand what i'm talking about. Thanks for your help.

the mobile site does not display correctly on your mac because you are not using a mobile browser. the site is design to deliver different contents based on the browser you use. you can verify this by changing your user agent to ios safari and revisit the site. just curious, why would you want to use the mobile site when you are on a real computer?

Hi. Thanks for getting back to me. I am not sure how to change what you suggested, but i haven't even had a cup of coffee yet. Anyway a friend who uses windows got the site to work using Internet explorer but not firefox. I wanted to use the mobile site because sometimes it's just a small bit easier then the regular site. yet for something like facebook, I use the main site when quite a few others i know stay as far away fromt hat as possible. You're right though, I tend normally to use it with the main site. Anyway if nothing gets done, I can say I tried, but i'm hoping i'll get others to come on board. Not as some tantrum of this is not accessible, simply, it worked before now it doesn't on all platforms. I'm also on a data plan so I don't want to use up a lot of data waiting for pages to load on the phone, getting the keyboard set up, etc. Thanks for your response, I appreciate your views.

Good evening everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know that Southwest did already return my email. While I was quite disappointed at the responses from my other postings, one trying, another just saying it was fine, that's my own bone to deal with and bury. I will say that the person who wrote had "similar issues" navigating the website, so passed it on to the leaders to fix the site. I never wanted to make a big stink about this, yes I could use the main site, yes I could use the iPhone, and had the problem simply existed on the Mac side I would've simply use the mobile app. This was more about coroberation, as I wasn't the only one, and to se if it did take notice. It did, and they will now be fixed. It's nothing huge, but it makes me feel good that I politely spoke up, and was gratified with a yes, we can fix it answer. Just goes to show, calm demeanor wins over anger every time. Hey I'm Irish pretty sure I wrote at least a chapter of that book. :) thanksfor eading whoever does.

To change the agent activate the develop menu uinder prefs of safari under advance. now there's a develop menu in the menu bar. go to it and choose user agent and you will see several brow errs you can make safari look like. Good luck.
