Share Your Bug Reports with AppleVis

If you experience a bug in Apple Beta Software, the most important thing you can do is to file a report in Feedback Assistant. Please do not assume that Apple is already aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference; your report may provide crucial information, and submitting bug reports directly to Apple helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority Apple is likely to give to fixing the bug.

If you are using beta software, please use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you are using a public release, this blog post explains how to report the issue and what information to include.

In 2025, AppleVis launched the Community Bug Reporting Program with the goal of improving the quality and quantity of information we share with the community about bugs in Apple software releases. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please submit your reports via our Community Bug Report Form.

All reports shared with AppleVis must first be filed with Apple via Feedback Assistant. More information about the Community Bug Program is available here.

This update is coming in at about 939.5 MB on my iPhone 15. Will report back with my findings.

The installation went well on my iPhone 16 Pro Max in about 20 minutes when I activated Siri I still had the same issues as I had before always having to use the wake word to get a response unless itself was asking me for a response then it would allow me to do so this is still wonky and still annoying. I am a big fan of the new series, but if typing is easier, I’ll go back to it because it used to be what I did all along anyway it’s not a disappointment, but it’s not as good as I expected it to be hopefully by release candidate things will be better.

I’m thinking that perhaps since I only have a 16 Pro Max and the new advanced chips aren’t available till the 17 phone series in the pros and Pro maxes I believe this is why Siri may not be working intuitively on a continuous conversation basis I have found that with this release, however you can use the S word or the side button to initiate Siri and neither case seems to perform much better than before. I’m still a typist by Hart and have only used Siri since testing out the developer beta to see how it performs I think that for the most part, I will continue to be a typist. It’s just quicker for me and more efficient.

Hi it is still impossible to clear all notifications in the notification centre when swiping up to clear all notifications and then double tapping on it. It doesn't work. Wondering if this is a bug or a change.

I used to have that problem, but after exploring the Siri settings under accessibility, I found something that seemed to fix it. Look for Require “Siri” for Interruptions Switch button and turn it off. You should be able to have an intuitive conversation with Siri. It's working for me, anyway.

Still waiting for the public beta to be released. It still says iOS is up to date even after restarting my phone.

By Jo Billard on Monday, August 31, 2026 - 21:40

So far, I've seen it come out later in the evening. I heard it would be out 24 to 48 hours later, but I haven't had to wait that long for it.

I installed it and immediately went to check if they fixed the speech rate issue of the Siri voice. For testing purposes I used American Siri voice 4. It was working for a second, but then it started to read messages very slowly, and then just went downhill from there within about 30 seconds. I had to crank it back up to 100.

No, since I use sometimes use the Siri voice as a VoiceOver voice, that won't do anything. i've tried the faster pace setting in the voice presets, but it changes the intonation and inflection when I do that.

How is everyone finding the sound of voiceover in this update?

By Oliver on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 - 11:07

Just to say, you may, like me, have an issue that the side button isn't unlocking your phone. This was resolved by restarting voiceover.

By Jo Billard on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 - 11:24

It sounds exactly the same as it did when I downloaded ,public beta 4, complete with crackles, words cut off and hardly any bass. I guess this is how Voiceover will sound for the next year, if they haven't fixed anything by now.

By danno5 on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 - 11:53

Mine sounds a lot better. Not sure if it’s just me but it sounded better last week then went back to being horrible again. It definitely sounds better through the speakers this time though and hasn’t gone back to being worse so far

By Oliver on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 - 14:31

It's like it sometimes drops back like when you invoke siri but doesn't actually return to full power.

Reported, obviously. It does make you wonder if there is a perminant accessibility team or if it's been replaced by low cost AI and a dog called Jasper.

By montrealmarc on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 - 14:44

Hopefully with the new leader of Apple in place taking over from Tim Cook this will cause a re-look at situations like accessibility and make it more prevalent and important in the eyes of Apple with the new regime in place we can only hope.

By longma on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 - 15:06

Unfortunately, I’ve found that the bug in the call history that many people mentioned in previous versions is still present. By the way, it feels like the sound quality of the VoiceOver voice has indeed been consistently declining and hasn't improved with the version updates.

By Oliver on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 - 16:01

Yes, we can hope though I think he's more hardware focused. Will be interesting to see how things change.

By Holger Fiallo on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 - 17:37

Apple does not see as anything broken so it will not fix anything. They will continue to get credit every year for some release for accessibility and the main media will not focus on issues with VO.
