Hello AppleVis community, I'm kinda blown away that David, Thomas, Michael, Scot and others have not posted about the IOS 7.0.5 update and any changes that might have been made with VO since it's release yesterday. Unless I just have not been watching the site close enough, I cannot find a peep about the IOs 7.0.5 update and whether or not heading navigation has been improved, screen lock is not repeated by VO, the favorite tab is completely accessible once again, the I-Phone 5s volume issue has been resolved along with a host of others community member generated issues. I know that the update is supposed to fix the "blue screen of death" issues people are having by making IOS more stable, but did they happen to sneak any stability improvements into the release that have to do with VO specifically? Feedback appreciated. Thank you.

hi. the reason there likely hasn't been anything said about this one, is that it's iPhone 5S and 5C particular, and has to do with network updates for china. nothing more. i can't get it on either the iPhone 5, nore the iPad mini retina.

Hi! According to an article I read yesterday regarding the IOS 7.0.5 update, I gather it's very limited in what it fixes. To start with, it's only limited to the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S, and, as far as bug fixes go, I gathered it only solves some network problems with these particular phones in some parts of the world. Being an iPhone 4S owner myself, I can't tell you any more. as my iPhone doesn't qualify for this update at all, But I venture to guess the reason why the IOS 7.0.5 update was not announced on AppleVis, namely because this update is so limited, to particular iPhones and maybe only to a few countries as well, while most previous IOS updates have applied to all IOS devices throughout the whole world.

As others have already said, iOS 7.0.5 is a minor maintenance update to correct network provisioning in China for some iPhone 5s and 5c models. Although the update will also be available on some handsets sold outside of China, it’s unlikely that the update does anything other than fix the China-specific network problem. From what I’ve read elsewhere, only the following iPhone models will receive this update: iPhone 5s A1457 (UK/Europe) A1528 (China) A1530 (Asia Pacific) iPhone 5c A1507 (UK/Europe) A1526 (China) A1529 (Asia Pacific) Realistically, any updates released between now and 7.1 are only likely to contain fixes for critical bugs or security risks.

I just checked on my IPhone 5S, and this update doesn't appear to exist. It says I'm up to date with 7.0.4. If the update is 5s and 5c specific, I wonder why I'm not getting it? Will it be released here in the states? Thanks!

Judging by what I read in a previous post on this thread today, and in an article yesterday, the update to the iPhone 5C and 5S only applies to certain models sold in Europe and Asia, so, if that's correct, nobody in the USA will get an IOS 7.0.5 update.

I read the article on that before attempting to look for the update and was informed it mostly affected China, if not all of it. So, I didn't bother updating. And yes, they still need to fix those features, including the ones that were broken such as this problem with the capslock key when using a BT Keyboard.
