Beta Testers Wanted: Voice Vision RPG

Hi AppleVis community,

I'm a banker in my 50s from Matsuyama, Japan, building an iOS app in my spare time — and I'd love your help.

The app is called Voice Vision RPG, a fully hands-free tabletop RPG for blind and low-vision players. For those unfamiliar, tabletop RPGs (like Dungeons & Dragons) are classic role-playing games where players explore stories through conversation and dice rolls — no screen required. It struck me that this kind of game, driven entirely by imagination and audio, is a natural fit for blind players. Yet an AI-driven, truly hands-free tabletop RPG experience — where the AI acts as your game master — doesn't exist yet.

I've volunteered with a Japanese retinitis pigmentosa support group for about ten years, and the idea of building something like this has been in the back of my mind ever since. Recent advances in generative AI finally made it possible, so I started building it.

The app is VoiceOver-compatible for launch, then fully playable by audio alone — no VoiceOver needed during gameplay. Launching in both English and Japanese.

I'm looking for beta testers for a 1-month period. Here's what's involved:

• Duration: 1 month (via TestFlight)
• Feedback: simple online form
• Thank-you gift: 2 paid scenario packs (approx. $6–7 value) provided free after release

Join the beta here:https://testflight.apple.com/join/rpkbvgYF

Feedback can be submitted directly through the TestFlight app — no extra tools needed. You can share crash reports and screenshots with me directly from within TestFlight.

Thanks for reading!

Hi,
This game sounds great! I love the music and that you are using the amazon voice as the game master. I am unable to consistantly get the game to recognize my commands. First, it told me to disable voiceover before I gave the microphone permission so once I did that I was able to single tap to have it start the game. Once I entered the first room or area I could not get it to move my character. I restarted the game then tryed to start the game from the homescreen and the recognition would not respond. I love the double tap gesture to get a description of the game and the music is sweet. Would love to progress further. Keep up the awesome work!!!
