Hi everyone,

Does anyone use KeePassXC on Mac, and if so, how's the accessibility with VoiceOver?
I'm currently on Windows using KeePass2 and am considering switching to Mac if I can find alternatives for the programs I use.
I'd appreciate any experiences you can share.

I'd recommend Strongbox for this, the official Keypassxc for Mac is written in QT and comes with all the QT issues with VO.

Thanks for the recommendation. I used to use Strongbox on my phone and have been following the acquisition fairly closely.
While Applause haven't done anything too egregious yet, I'd hate to become dependent on it only for them to mess it up.
Mentioning Strongbox reminds me that KeePassium is also a potential solution that I need to look into.

If you already have a db and that db is locked with a keyfile, you might have some insurmountable trouble. I haven't been able to find a way to activate the button that allows you to choose the keyfile, either by normal activation commands or by mouse clicks with VO-Cmd-F5 and VO-Shift-Space. A somewhat brief tour of the app on a temporary new db, however, tells me that most if not all other functionality is achievable, albeit not the most pleasant experience for sure.

If you're comfortable in a command line environment, the CLI is perfectly fine to use with VO; this is how I tend to access my db on the Mac. For iPhone, KeePassium has been surprisingly delightful to use, so much so that I'm considering paying the yearly sub. If you do a whole lot of editing, or if you're not interested in the Mac CLI, KeePassium should serve you well.

That's good to know. I hadn't realized KeePassXC had such a full-featured CLI, but I'm glad to learn that it does.
