For those of us who were fans of Game World, made by the same developer as Card World & Dice World, rejoice!
I just got the following message from him via Discord.
This is good news for Game World fans, for sure. I enjoyed quite a few of the games on there back in the day. I just hope the dev will consider having the option to use the Word War sounds instead of just the cat sounds in the wordsearch game.
I assume they won't just bring back the exact same thing, I'm guessing there will be a redesign of some sort? Maybe they will consider having the game use VoiceOver, like Diceworld and Cardworld, instead of the unity plug-in screenreader.
I asked about that here when Card World was being developed. I think the dev said something about the unity plug in was hard to maintain so that's at least part of why Game World stopped being updated.
I'm hoping this new update/new app will make all the games use VO natively, or maybe use the framework Apple came up with and demoed at WWDC a few years ago.
I remember playing this back in the day, and enjoying it. I hope some new games will be added. The version of Simon was my favourite because the speed increased as the game progressed, as is the case in the original game.

so why take it away to bring back the same title? just seems pointless
