I own two iphones. Now I want to merge apps from one to the other. Is that possible with icloud? Otherwise I have to take the two with me all the time. Sigh.

No it is not, but what you could do is jut dl the ones you want to from your purchased list if you are signed in to both devices via your apple id. Take care and hope that helps.
I hope Apple extends account management functions to handle the situation like this. Until then, I have to be care to use my devices as if I have just one. Thanks for the info anyway. I need to ask my friend to help me merge them.
Hello. Merging apps with both iPhones is some what possible. You can download all of the apps you need on to one iPhone, back it up to iCloud, and then on the other iPhone, you can restore that to factory defaults, and then restore it from the iCloud backup which you made on the other iPhone. This should download all of the apps which were present on the iPhone.
Thanks for your comment. But I decided to clean up apps that I don't use. I would rather start anew instead of merging together. I'm so satisfied with my iphone that I can spend a lot of time playing with it. Cheers.
