anyone played Manamon, from VG storm?

i am trying to play the audio game on Windows, Manamon. but, my sapi 5 voices are not saving and the rate doesn't increase what's going on? also, when i try to use my Eloquence sapi 5 purchased from Code factory, i just get "please register this product" even though it licenced?

I just can't work out why i can't use the voice during gameplay, nor why the rate for speech not being saved?

any help appreciated.

hello, I played that game quite a lot. However, I have not used the sappy voice before. Maybe you can try to download the NVDA screen reader to get it to work, or you can use the narrator screen reader to try to see if it works. I am pretty sure NVDA works, because that is the screen reader I used to play with. Hope that help.

do i have to do the screenreader mode though? i seem to have to press enter a lot of times to keep things moving like when it says creature x attacks you, enter, then more text, enter, before even get to the attack menu.

That's one of the caveat you have to consider when playing the game with the screen reader, especially if your Sapi 5 voices do not work.

i had no issues when my laptop had windows 10 but now, the sapi settings are just not saving; considering this was a paid for product the support is dreadful, it should have been free in my opinion, given that settings are not saving between games and the voice i want to use for it isn't working. even when i factory reset the PC, and re-installed Manamon, no luck.

Just asking what voices is your sapi5 set to? BGT games can be a problem with some voices.

when set to the sera or hazel desktop (david not there) the rate not changing much after 19, then, when settings saved, all is good. but when i reload the speech incredibly slow and rate changes do nothing, it's like reset, but not respecting rates, the eloquence sapi 5 from Code factory just keeps saying, "please register this product" when selected, never had issues windows 10. i want to play the game through fully.
