Siri speaking louder in my AirPods

Hi,
I’m using iOS 26.4 on an iPhone 16 Pro. I am also using the AirPods Pro 3, and I’m having a strange problem. I have adjusted Siri so that it speaks at an acceptable volume on my phone. When I plug in AirPods, though, the volume usually is very loud. I can tell it to turn down, and it might remember for a while, but it usually turns up again if I adjust the volume on the phone at all. I hope this is making sense. If I turn off all announcednotifications, Siri will remain at a set volume. Otherwise, the volume issue persists. Has anyone else had this issue?

I am able to adjust Siri with the volume buttons while it is speaking. However, this only is effective until I adjust the volume for any other reason. When the AirPod is reinserted, Siri will be speaking very loudly again.

There is an firmware update for airPod pro 3. It just came out. Maybe will fix your issue.

Hi, I just updated my AirPods, and unfortunately the same situation is happening. I’ll be speaking with Apple today. Has anyone else had this issue?

For me is Siri goes down and I need to keep rase volume. Did you turn on hearing protechtion? It suppose to protect your hearing from high volume. Do not recall the correct name of the feature. LLC.
