YouVersion Bible Reading Plans

Hello Everyone, On January 1st, I started a bible reading plan on youversion. I thought I'd start a new years resolution, and when a notification popped up, I was able to find a plan and start. I left the devotional area to start reading the bible again, but since then, I've not been able to get to the reading plans. I've asked for help on twitter but haven't gotten much of a response. I would find the menu button at the top left hand corner of the screen, but a true menu wouldn't pop up, but it would stick to the bible verses. If there is a menu, voice over isn't reflecting the screen when it's refreshed. I'm still on the bible verses, and the only options I have are to search for another book, chapter or version. How do I access my reading plans? It's been several days and I'm a bit disappointed that I have missed out on almost two weeks of devotionals. All comments and suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hi Melissa, The issues you describe are ones that I dealt with also. What I ended up doing was to sign in to my user account online. From there, you can choose to have your devotions emailed to you each day. This works out well. I think you can also have the app keep track of reading plan completion, if you like. Hope this helps. I have been using Youversion for awhile now to read Bible plans, and it is doable. Here is how to do it: The menu button does not seem to do anything very well with VoiceOver for me either. But when you are in the main today page of the app when you first enter it, double-tap on the plan that you want to read, for example "faith to Faith." After that, you will be presented with Daily Devotionals, as well as the Bible reading or readings that the plan contains for that day. You select and double-tap on the Daily Devotional and read that. Then there is a next button at the top of the screen that you can double-tap on, and that will take you to the first Bible reading. after you have read that reading, there is another button at the bottom of the screen labeled with the number of the day you are reading; for example this might say "day one." You double-tap that. If there was only one Scripture reading, that will normally take you to a screen where it tells you that you have completed the readings for that day. If there were more than one Scripture reading, in the same section where the Bible reading is at oon that same page, there is also a button called "jump to plan" at the bottom of the screen. If you click that, it should take you back to the list of readings for that day. Each reading contains a checkbox after it, and you can check it if it was completed. Sometimes, I have been known to read the version of the Bible on my Braille NOte and then just check them in the Youversion app rather than manually entering them each time even though I have read them with the IPhone. Hope this helps. Andrea.
